Chapter 6 - 7. A NEW BEGINNING

Chloe picked up her phone and smiled when she saw the caller ID.

Mom: "Chloe, where are you? You're supposed to help me here—customers are flooding the place!"

Chloe: "Sorry, Mom. I'll be right there." She hung up and turned to Cherry and Facilier. "Yup… that's my mom."

They all burst into laughter.

Chloe and Cherry approached Facilier with the pen and ring in their hands.

Chloe: "We're really sorry again, sir. We're returning these now. I think we've had enough magic in our lives."

Facilier smiled warmly.

"When I first met you two, I saw the goodness in your hearts. You may make mistakes, but you'll always find your way back—as long as you're together."

He accepted the pen and ring, then winked.

"I'll keep these safe until you're ready to come back for them. You know where to find me."

With a flourish, he used the pen to write glowing symbols in the air—and vanished.

Cherry and Chloe giggled in amazement before heading home. Chloe walked into her mom's restaurant feeling lighter than she had in weeks.

Chloe: "Hi Mom! Sorry, Cherry and I got stuck in traffic."

Her mom raised a brow.

*"Wow… I haven't seen that smile in a long time. Is there something you're not telling me?"

Chloe giggled and hugged her tightly.

"I just realized I've got everything I need."

A New Beginning

Monday morning, Chloe walked into school with Cherry by her side—confident, calm, and glowing with new energy. As they strolled through the hallway, an all-too-familiar voice called out.

Brianna: "Well, look who it is."

Chloe and Cherry shared a look and laughed.

"Welcome back, Brianna," they said in unison.

Brianna blinked.

"What do you mean 'welcome back'? Are you losing your mind too?"

Chloe smiled gently.

"Nope. But here's some advice—stop pouring your frustrations on everyone at school. Get a life, okay? You're way too pretty for this. No offense."

She linked her arm with Cherry's and walked away, leaving Brianna speechless and fuming.

---

Later that afternoon, Cherry led Chloe back to the football field.

Chloe: "Why are we here, sis?"

Cherry: "There's someone you need to see."

Chloe followed her gaze—and froze.

Andrew was standing with his teammates. When he noticed her, he waved. Chloe's cheeks flushed as she whirled back to Cherry.

Chloe: "Cherry, let's go! I can't talk to him. I feel embarrassed—and Brianna's back. I don't want to make a fool of myself."

Cherry held her shoulders gently.

"Sis, look at me. Just talk to him, okay?"

Chloe took a shaky breath… then nodded with a smile.

Andrew jogged over to them.

Andrew: "Hey…"

Chloe: "Hi again." She laughed nervously.

Cherry: "I'll leave you two." She winked and slipped away.

Andrew rubbed the back of his neck.

"Chloe, I've been wanting to tell you something. I… well, I really like you. And I get it if you don't like me b—"

Before he could finish, Chloe threw her arms around him.

"Andrew, I really like you too!"

He laughed, thrilled, lifting her off the ground and spinning her around.

Andrew: "So… you'll go out with me?"

Chloe: "Yes. Yes!"

They laughed together, holding each other close as the sun dipped behind the stadium lights—marking the true beginning of Chloe's new life.

And as Chloe, stepped into her new chapter, she finally understood that real magic was never in the pen...but in the strength she carried within her all along.

Sometime the most powerful magic of all..is believing in yourself.

THE END.

Thank you for your time, imagination and stepping into this world with me. Until our next Adventure.
