A few hours had passed since Akira, Momo, and Nia had left the medical room. Recovery Girl sat at her desk, organizing medical supplies and reviewing patient files.

Another knock came from the door.

"Come in."

The door opened, and All Might walked in, not the massive, muscular Symbol of Peace that the world knew, but his deflated form.

"How is he do-"

THWACK!

Before he could finish his sentence, a slipper flew through the air and hit him square in the face.(Another one)

"WHAT DID YOU TEACH HIM IN THE MONTH YOU WERE WITH HIM?!"

All Might recovered from the hit, one hand rubbing his face where the slipper had connected. He looked embarrassed, his shoulders hunched like a student being scolded by a strict teacher.

Recovery Girl wasn't done.

"He has already broken his bones THREE times!" she continued, holding up three fingers. "Once in the entrance exam, and twice in the last two days! THREE TIMES, Yagi!"

"I swear, the next time he comes to me with broken bones, I will break one of yours, too. Do you understand me?"

All Might scratched his head. His usual confidence and heroic bearing had completely evaporated under her glare.

"My deepest apologies, Recovery Girl," he said quietly, his voice carrying genuine shame.

She got even more visibly angry at his weak response.

"Give back my slipper," she held out her hand.

All Might quickly picked up the slipper and handed it back to her like a guilty child returning a confiscated item.

Recovery Girl took the slipper and pointed it at him like a weapon.

"If you want to apologize, apologize to the kid, not to me."

Then her expression shifted as she glanced toward where Izuku was sleeping in one of the medical beds. Her voice softened, carrying genuine concern.

"He was here just yesterday, Yagi. I can't keep treating him like this. There's a limit to how much healing even my quirk can do. If he keeps destroying his body at this rate, I won't be able to heal him."

She turned back to All Might, her eyes hard again.

"Did you even teach him how to fight? How to defend himself without his quirk?" she asked. "Heck, my grandson gave him better advice in five minutes than you apparently did in an entire month!"

All Might flinched at that.

But Recovery Girl wasn't done.

"You are a great hero, Yagi. One of the greatest. But I'm going to say it plainly. You are a horrible teacher."

"You could teach him everything yourself. You have all the knowledge, all the experience. But you're so adamant about letting him figure things out on his own, about making him walk the same path you did. But that's not how it works!"

She pointed toward Izuku's sleeping form.

"I read his files when he first came here. That kid was bullied his entire life for being quirkless. His self-esteem is so low that he doubts himself with every step he takes. He's fragile, Yagi. He's not as naturally talented as you were. He's not built the same way."

Recovery Girl's voice became almost pleading now.

"You have to give him the tools, a proper foundation. You can't just hand someone incredible power and expect them to figure it out through trial and error when 'error' means broken bones and permanent damage."

She paused, letting that sink in before continuing.

"Here, you don't need to be the Symbol of Peace that everyone looks up to. You need to be Yagi the friend. The mentor. The person who actually understands him and helps him grow."

Then she asked a simple question that cut deeper than anything else.

"Get close to him first, so he sees you as a person, not just this untouchable symbol. Heck, does the kid even know your true name, Yagi?"

Silence fell over the medical room.

All Might just stood there, frozen. His mind racing, processing everything Recovery Girl had said. Each point struck home, forcing him to confront uncomfortable truths about his approach to teaching.

He thought about the past month. About the training sessions where he'd pushed Izuku to clean the beach, build muscle, and prepare his body. But had he actually taught him how to use One For All safely? Had he explained the mechanics, the control, the progression?

No.

He'd just handed over the quirk and expected Izuku to figure it out the same way he had.

But Izuku wasn't him. Izuku didn't have the same background, the same support system, the same natural confidence.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, All Might bowed.

"Thank you for telling me this, Chiyo-san," he said, his voice quiet but sincere. "I will improve. I will make sure to guide Young Midoriya properly from now on. I promise."

Recovery Girl's expression finally softened.

"I know you will, Yagi," she said, her voice gentle now. "You're a good kid. You just needed someone to tell you the truth."

Then she waved her hand toward the door.

"Now get out of here and let me do my job. I have a patient to monitor."

All Might bowed again, even deeper this time, then turned and left the medical room. The door closed softly behind him.

Recovery Girl watched him go, then sighed and sat back down at her desk. She looked over at Izuku's sleeping form and muttered quietly to herself.

"That boy needs better guidance."

***

A few hours later, Izuku's eyes slowly opened.

He glanced at the clock on the wall, and his eyes widened.

"It's already after noon?" he mumbled sleepily, his voice rough from hours of rest.

Just then, Recovery Girl's head popped into his view.

"Are you awake?" she asked.

"WAHH!" Izuku jerked in surprise, nearly falling out of the bed.

Recovery Girl chuckled at his reaction.

"You're free to go now," she said kindly. "You can come back later if you need anything, but make sure you actually rest that arm properly. No training, no quirk usage. Understand?"

Izuku nodded quickly, sitting up carefully.

"Thank you very much, Recovery Girl!" he said earnestly, bowing his head. "I really appreciate everything you do."

She patted his shoulder gently. "Just take better care of yourself, young man."

Izuku gathered his things and left the medical room, closing the door behind him.

Recovery Girl sat back in her chair, her thoughts drifting.

I hope he becomes friends with Akira, she thought to herself with a small smile. As much of an edgelord that boy is, a friend like him could really help Midoriya. Someone straightforward who tells him the truth without sugar-coating it.

Izuku made his way back through U.A.'s hallways, his footsteps echoing in the quieter afternoon atmosphere. His plastered arm rested in its sling, a constant reminder of the battle.

Even after all that sleep, I still feel so tired, he thought, suppressing a yawn. And Aizawa-sensei is probably going to kill me when he hears I broke my arm again. He's definitely going to expel me. This is it. This is how my hero career ends.

His anxiety spiraled as he approached the classroom door. He took a deep breath, trying to prepare himself for judgment, criticism, or worse, expulsion.

He opened the door.

What happened next completely shocked him.

"GREENY IS HERE!!" Nia's voice rang out from somewhere in the classroom.

The entire class turned to look at him simultaneously. Twenty-one pairs of eyes focused on the doorway where he stood.

Izuku froze, his hand still on the door handle.

"Hi?" he said awkwardly.

Suddenly, Kirishima rushed toward him with a huge grin.

"Ohh! Midoriya's back!" Kirishima said excitedly, stopping right in front of him. "Great work out there, man! The way you fought was sooooo manly! That final punch was incredible!"

Sero appeared beside Kirishima, nodding enthusiastically. "I still can't believe you actually won against Bakugo, who got second place in the entrance exam! That was insane!"

Mina bounced over, her pink face bright full of admiration. "You absolutely SLAYED IT! That explosion clash was like something out of a movie!"

"Ribbit, you did really well," Tsuyu added calmly, giving him an approving nod.

Aoyama struck a dramatic pose in the background. "Magnifique!"

After expressing their praise, the students began introducing themselves properly, not as classmates thrown together by circumstance, but as people genuinely interested in getting to know him.

"I'm Kirishima Eijiro! You can just call me Kirishima!"

"Sero Hanta! Nice to properly meet you!"

"Ashido Mina, but everyone calls me Mina!"

"Asui Tsuyu. Call me Tsu."

One by one, they introduced themselves, their voices overlapping in a warm, chaotic chorus of acceptance.

Izuku stood there, completely overwhelmed. His eyes began to water as emotion welled up inside him.

This was so different from everything he'd experienced before. They were treating him like a person. Like an equal. Like someone worthy of respect and friendship.

It felt... nice.

A few tears slipped down his cheeks before he could stop them, but he was smiling... genuinely smiling.

"It's nice to meet you all," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "Really. Thank you."

In the back of the classroom, Akira watched the entire interaction unfold. He stood with Momo near the windows, Nia perched on his shoulder as usual.

He observed Izuku being welcomed by their classmates.

"He's been through things," Akira said quietly to Momo, his eyes still on Izuku. "You can see it in how he reacts to basic kindness."

Momo looked at him, confused by the observation. "How did you know?"

Akira was silent for a moment, his gaze distant.

"Because I had the same face when I first opened up to my mother."

Momo stayed silent, processing his words. She could sense there was a deeper story there, something painful that he wasn't ready to share. But she understood boundaries. She knew pushing wouldn't help.

Instead, she asked something simpler.

"Are you better now?"

Akira looked at her, genuinely surprised by the question and the way she'd asked it. She wasn't prying. She wasn't demanding his trauma as entertainment. She was just... checking on him. Caring about his well-being without expecting anything in return.

He thought about it for a moment, about how far he'd come, about the people he'd surrounded himself with.

It feels good to have a real friend.

"Yeah," he said quietly. "I'm doing better."

Momo smiled back, satisfied with that answer. They stood together in comfortable silence, watching as their classmates continued to welcome Izuku into their group.

Nia looked between Akira and Momo with knowing eyes. Her tail swished thoughtfully.

Daddy's getting better at this whole 'having friends' thing, hehehehe....
