Chapter 38 - 36 One too many encounters

REN

I shouldn't have come. Air refused to fill my lungs. I took a pause in front of the Omega washroom tent to force myself to breathe.

What were my siblings doing here?! The twins!

I wanted to throw up.

I quickly rushed into the washroom. It was empty.

"Filthy Wutao!"

"How fast can he run?"

"Release the dog and let's see!"

My body shook uncontrollably as my hands moved to cover my ears, trying to drown out the horrible memories.

Had they recognized me? Surely not. All hell would've broken loose if they had.

"Calm down Wutao." I whispered to myself as I sucked in some air, wheezing when my lungs felt full. I held my breath for a few seconds, before letting it out.

That's it. Calm down. You're Ren, the A-Gen Omega, not weak, filthy Wutao. There's no way they're going to recognize you. Not under all that makeup. I chuckled at myself.

"I'm Ren." I repeated, "They won't recognize me." I began to feel a tad bit better.

Wow, Ren, you've really bitten more than you can chew. As I went ahead to close my eyes for a bit, I heard a shuffling on the tent's material. I ignored it, probably someone coming to use the washroom.

The shuffling stopped as someone came to stand behind me, a bit too close.

"Ren." My eyes popped open. From the mirror in front of me, I made the person out—a B-Gen Alpha. What was an Alpha doing in an Omega washroom? That wasn't even the part that made my skin crawl, it was his eyes. Those slick, hungry eyes raked my body from hair to feet.

I frowned, pulling my jacket tighter around my body, an action that made him chuckle. The nerve. How did he even know my name?

He proceeded to move forward and I immediately turned around, pushing myself out of the way. After putting some distance between us, I gave him a once over. He wasn't someone I knew. I didn't know many people, so I was certain.

"Who are you?" My voice almost came out as a squeal because my heart hadn't yet recovered from the threat. His face suddenly dropped. He looked…hurt? Like my question had hurt him. What the fuck?

"You don't remember me?" He took a step forward, and I took one back, shaking my head profusely. "But you said you loved me." He whispered that part to himself, but I heard. What nonsense was he going on about? That

was when it started to make sense.

"Where did we meet?"

"Deluxe." He answered without skipping a beat, and I slowly brought my hand to my face, massaging my temple. I exhaled sharply as my pulse settled. He was a client. A deluded one who couldn't tell the difference between reality and fantasy.

"Look, man, I'm just a worker at a pleasure house." I hope my choice of address would dissuade him. "Nothing you think happened between us is real. Okay? It was only a transaction." I waved my hands in front of me as I enunciated every word.

His gaze dropped to his feet as he seemed to process what I'd said. "Why are you here with Feng Lang, then?"

"What? I'm not—"

"Don't lie to me, Ren!" I jumped from his sudden outburst. "I've been watching you all night." The fire from earlier was back in his eyes, dare I say, burning more intently. He zoomed towards me, grabbing me by the shoulder before I could even think. I yelped in surprise.

His fingers dug into my skin as he shook me vigorously. "You said you wouldn't go out with me. Why are you here with Feng Lang?! Huh?!" I blinked rapidly as all alarms blared in my ears.

I froze for a second when I suddenly felt his hand under my shirt. My eyes widened at his audacity and rage boiled in my veins as I

struggled against him. He pushed me so that I was between him and a sink. Vulnerable. Then I felt his mouth in the crook of my neck. "I'm better than Feng Lang. I'll show you." He pulled my shirt higher, my stomach was almost fully bare now.

How I managed to stay calm in that situation, I would never understand, but my hand —which had been trying to get into my back pocket all this while— finally got hold of what I was looking for. I released a satisfied breath when the cap popped off. Without thinking about the pain that was definitely going to attack me after, I threw up my knee, knocking him square between the legs. He doubled over in pain, groaning loudly.

Not wasting a second, I released a generous amount of the content of the spray bottle in my hand into his eyes, watching in satisfaction as he cried out, his hands moving between his eyes and groin.

I brought a hand over my nose to avoid taking in some of the particles in the air through my heavy breathing. I moved out of the way as he pathetically scrambled for the exit.

I ran to the exit, standing there for a while to make sure he had completely disappeared from my sight before I allowed my body to break down. I really shouldn't have come.

I checked my neck in the mirror, the deep red spot glared back at me. Tonight really wasn't my night. From meeting my siblings to meeting a crazy client. A third unfortunate meeting, and I'd know someone up there was

fucking with me.

Speaking of someone fucking with me, a sharp lavender scent wafted through my nose and I groaned. Of course. My sister's long legs made it through the entrance, and immediately, her eyes found mine.

I looked at her with a bored expression, I couldn't be bothered with fucking courtesy. Her gaze hardened at mine, and I rolled my eyes.

"You. Who are you?" Her arms folded together in front of her as her lips curled in disgust. I sighed. I really wasn't in the right mental state for this.

"What's that got to do with you?" I snapped. She seemed surprised by my reply, I almost panicked because I thought she had made me out, but she sneered, and I calmed. I had a feeling this confrontation had something

to do with our earlier encounter under the tents.

"In case you didn't know Lang Gao—" Not that name again.

"Lady, I don't have time for this." I brushed past her, not once looking back. I was sure she was stunned, but I didn't care. Maybe I'd feel bad about it when I saw her at home later, but for now, I really couldn't care less.

The fresh air hit my face immediately when I stepped out of the washroom tent. I tucked my shirt back into my pants and smoothed back my hair—something I couldn't do because of my sister's interruption— and sucked in a deep breath as I cracked my neck. Third crisis of the night successfully

averted…

As I got close to the tents where I left Mr Zhen, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something serious that I failed to process. I pulled out my phone from my pocket to check the time, 11:33 pm. It was a good thing I was able to pull it out at the last minute before my bag was confiscated.

That was when I stopped walking. Fuck! I had totally forgotten about my encounter with the Z-Gen Alpha. Shit Ren! How could you forget?

"Fuck you Feng Lang, my brother's life was ruined because of you!" My head snapped in the direction of the voice. Not only because of the words, but I knew that voice. It was the pervert from the washroom.
