Ren woke up early, the house filled with the usual morning silence. He cooked his breakfast and prepared for school, but a heavy sensation sat in his stomach. Something felt off. Something was not right.
When he reached school, the three bullies—Kaito, Lucas, and Riven were already waiting.
"Look who's here," Kaito sneered, his voice dripping with mock respect. "The hero has arrived!"
The three of them laughed, their voices echoing in the hallway. Ren didn't say a word. He didn't fight back. He simply walked to his seat and sat down, staring out the window.
Suddenly, the floor began to glow. A massive magic formation appeared out of nowhere, engulfing everyone in the room: Kaito, Lucas, Riven, Miya, John, Leo, Sera, and Ren. Before anyone could scream, the world dissolved into white light.
When they opened their eyes, they were standing in a grand, stone hall. At first, everyone was terrified, but that fear quickly turned into excitement. They realized they had been transported to another world just like the stories they loved to watch.
But Ren wasn't happy. He didn't want to be a hero; he just wanted to go home. He hated the noise, the crowd, and the strange, cold feeling of this new place.
The King of this world stood before them. "Help us defeat the Demon Lord," he commanded.
"Yes!" the students shouted. But Ren stood in the back, his heart heavy with dread.
The King stepped toward a glowing pedestal. "Place your hand here,"he said. "Let us see what power you possess."
The three bullies went first. Kaito's power was massive, an amplitude of fire that lit up the room. Lucas and Riven followed with wind and water magic. John came next, showing a strong earth affinity that was far above average.
Then, Miya stepped forward. The stone erupted in a blinding, golden light.
"10,000+ power!" the Summoner shouted, his voice trembling. "An amplitude of rare light! You exceed even the elite knights. Only two people in history have ever reached this level."
Kaito's face twisted with jealousy as the King praised Miya. Next was Sera, who was revealed as an elite healer.
Finally, it was Ren's turn. The room went quiet. He placed his hand on the cold stone, praying for something anything that would let him survive.
The stone stayed dark.
The Summoner gasped, his face turning pale."He has no amplitude. His power is... below 100. It is the lowest ever recorded in our history."
Ren looked at the numbers glowing faintly: 120. Compared to Miya's 10,000 and Kaito's 4,900, he was nothing. His friends looked at him with shock, and the King's eyes went cold. In a world of heroes, Ren was a defect.
