The Abyssal Court.
Black mist coiled in the air.
The Mist Emperor had just flown out from the center of the black vortex. He looked up at a group of small insects scrambling wretchedly out of the passage above.
"Emperor's Lock, you have disappointed me greatly... I chose you to corrupt this Divine Weapon, thinking you were the most suitable candidate. A pity... I was even prepared to pass my throne to you..."
"This subordinate has failed his duty." Emperor's Lock's figure appeared behind him, kneeling on one knee.
"You did not fail your duty. You were simply too weak..." The Mist Emperor turned, his gaze filled with disappointment as he stared at the old subordinate who had served him for tens of thousands of years.
"After this, you will join me..."
BZZZZ!!
Suddenly, the entire Abyssal Court began to shake violently.
From some unknown location, the howling of rushing air began to echo.
