The atmosphere calmed as everyone stopped fighting. They slowly turned and stared at Zuran, who had burst into loud crying while holding onto Ren firmly.
Ren casually said, "I thought as much." He scoffed. "In the end, this was how it was going to end anyway... something still needed to be sacrificed to get another... that was probably what fate didn't tell us." He laughed weakly as he said, "What a relief. At least it was me."
