Grand Duke Sumo was quiet; he could only stare at Ren. He knew he couldn't do anything to him even if he wanted to.
Ren, too, knew no one would dare be abrupt with him. They'd probably find him unpredictable and hard to deal with, so threatening him would be out of the question.
"No... I don't dare threaten the great Demon God," Sumo expressed, keeping a calm expression.
Ren smiled with a nod. "Thanks for understanding. And if you don't have anything else to say, I'll be off." He got to his feet.
Grand Duke Sumo sat there, staring at him as he rose.
"And..." Ren said as he picked up the glass of wine and gulped it down. "Thanks for the drink, too. Feel free to pay, because I'm too broke to help." He winked at him as he turned and walked off.
Grand Duke Sumo sat there staring as he left. He was just speechless. He still couldn't believe that the Demon God had rejected helping him with his plan.
