October was coming to a close, and with it, nights became colder. Contrary to this, Simon had become softer to his squadmates. In the past few weeks, they had hosted a multitude of events due to the fact that there wasn't much work to do.
Being the Investigation team, Simon had put all their cases to a close within his time there already. It really made him wonder how incompetent the team was.
With him on the team, they were unstoppable on paper. However, the more he looked at it, his team might not have been fit for Investigations. The exceptions to this were himself, Evelyn, and Silas.
Although Silas didn't put in much effort, when he did, it was levels above Simon's. Simon obviously wasn't jealous of this fact; it was how the world of Signators worked.
