A day later, Kong Mingan returned from his Undead Demiplane and turned his focus to two specific Soul Skill Modules he had been working on: Spiritual Probing and Spiritual Sharing.
He found Huo Yuhao, who was already working for him, and used his own spirit aura along with the new modules from the Tianmeng Ice Worm to test them out. After several tries and a lot of focus, he successfully produced both the Spiritual Probing and Spiritual Sharing skills.
Kong Mingan talked to himself quietly to organize his thoughts, noting that while these skills seemed simple, they could be used in many clever ways. He realized that Spiritual Probing was basically a way to release mental force to create a special field or Domain.
Inside this field, the user can see everything—the ground, objects, energy movements, and even the life force of others—in a clear, 3D view from above. It can even see through obstacles and covers a very wide area.
Spiritual Sharing was even more interesting to him. It wasn't just talking with your mind; it allowed the user to send information directly from their own brain into someone else's spiritual sea. When he used both skills together, he could gather information with Probing and send it in real-time to someone else using Sharing. This meant they would see exactly what he was seeing, which he called Spiritual Probing Sharing.
Kong Mingan quickly learned how it worked and used his spirit ring to imprint these two skills. As his spirit ring glowed and he used his spirit power and mental force, he activated Spiritual Probing.
Instantly, he could see everything for hundreds of meters around him. He saw the workers walking around the guild, the items in the warehouse, and the petite Ice Empress standing right in front of him. The amount of information was so huge that it made his head hurt for a moment.
He adjusted the power of his mental force to be lower, which made the range smaller but made the information easier to handle. After testing it many times, he realized that the better the mental force and spirit power he used, the better the range and accuracy of the skill would be. Essentially, Spiritual Probing creates a field to collect data, while Spiritual Sharing creates a one-way path to send that data to a target.
Kong Mingan thought about this for a while and then opened a door to his Undead Demiplane. He pulled out an Evil Soul Master who was at the Spirit King level and had his powers sealed.
Before the man could even understand where he was, Kong Mingan used his new skills on him. The Evil Soul Master screamed as his eyes went red and his body started shaking. He fainted with spit coming out of his mouth.
Kong Mingan woke him up using a bit of mental force, but the man was now a total mess. His eyes were empty, he was drooling, and he couldn't speak. He had been driven completely insane. The Ice Empress watched this and asked what was happening.
Kong Mingan calmly explained that it was an experiment. He had taken a huge, messy stream of data from Spiritual Probing and shoved it directly into the man's brain using Spiritual Sharing. Because the man's mind couldn't handle all that information at once, his consciousness collapsed. His body was still alive, but his mind was gone.
The Ice Empress didn't really understand his technical talk. She pouted and said that anything he touched became too confusing to understand. Kong Mingan just laughed and threw the broken Evil Soul Master back into the Demiplane.
He kept thinking about how to use this. Attacking someone's mind with junk data was just a simple trick; what he really wanted was to use this for moving information quickly.
He wondered if he could use Spiritual Sharing to set up "base stations" across the continent. If he combined them with Spiritual Probing, he could create a massive network where information could be shared instantly everywhere.
It would be like a Douluo version of the internet. This could help normal people and also help him watch the entire world for threats like Evil Soul Masters. He could find them the moment they appeared.
This was a big dream, but he had a more important goal right now: he needed a tool to help him think and calculate things faster. Since Spiritual Sharing could connect different minds together, he wondered if he could build a "host" to act as a central brain.
This host could control many "sub-brains" to process data, which would boost his own thinking speed. He realized he could use the souls of Evil Soul Masters as the sub-brains since he had plenty of them.
The hard part was finding the right host. The host had to be strong enough to handle all that data without breaking. He thought about using the Tianmeng Ice Worm because it had a million years of mental force, but it was too valuable to risk for an experiment.
He also thought about the golden ancient tree at Shrek Academy, which was the Life Core and very strong, but that would be hard to steal and modify right now.
Kong Mingan stopped and thought about it more. He didn't need something perfect right away; he just needed a temporary tool to test his idea. He needed something that could hold information, organize it, and let him program how it worked.
As he looked around, his eyes fell on the spirit ring floating in his hand. He realized that spirit rings were actually very useful for many things he hadn't tried yet.
