Inside a clean and tidy single dormitory room in the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy, located in the Capital City, the morning sun was just beginning to rise. A young girl stood by the window, gazing outside at the busy streets below. This girl was Wang Donger.

She had long blue-pink hair that looked like it was woven from the colors of the morning sky and the clear clouds. Her eyes were the same beautiful blue-pink gradient, and they sparkled brilliantly when she looked around. Her features were very delicate. Even though she was still quite young, her figure was already starting to take shape, showing that she would grow into a very beautiful woman.

Right now, she was wearing the blue and white uniform that the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy gave to every student. Her legs were covered in clean white stockings, which gave her an air of youthful vitality and showed off her energy. Her gaze swept across the magnificent city outside the window. It was a huge metropolis made of metal and spirit tool technology, all covered by the soft light of the morning sun.

Towering spirit tool spires reflected the light, making the city look like it was glowing. Various spirit tool vehicles moved through the organized, crisscrossing streets. It was a very orderly place, which was vastly different from the quiet and secluded place where she had grown up.

Wang Donger sighed in relief. The tension she had been holding in for so long finally started to go away. She had traveled all the way from the Clear Sky Sect to Maple Leaf City, and finally, she had reached the Capital City. She had been traveling constantly for several months, and she was happy to finally be here.

Although the journey took a long time, it was unexpectedly smooth and easy for her. Whenever she felt hungry, she would find fruit trees right by the side of the road or run into wild beasts that were easy for her to handle. When she felt tired, she would always meet kind people who were happy to offer her a ride or a place to sleep.

Even when she had to cross the heavily guarded borders of the Sun Moon Empire, she passed through without any trouble at all. It was as if she had amazing luck. Her reason for coming to the Sun Moon Empire and the Capital City was very clear. She was here to find her Big Father and her Second Father.

Even though the elders back home told her that her Big Father and Second Father were dead, she did not believe them at all. She had a strong feeling in her heart that they were still alive. She believed they were just trapped somewhere and were waiting for her to find them. She was determined to find the clues that would lead her to them.

Joining the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy was the very first step in her plan. She had arrived after the normal enrollment season was over, and she was a bit younger than the students they usually accepted. However, once she showed the teachers her Radiant Goddess Butterfly Spirit, they were shocked.

She also showed them her Innate full spirit power talent and her two spirit rings. She had one yellow spirit ring and one purple spirit ring, which was a very rare and powerful configuration for someone her age. The teachers in the admissions office were so impressed that they admitted her to the academy immediately.

Just an hour after her physical examination, a senior student came to her room. He brought her three sets of Sun Moon uniforms that were tailored to her exact size. He also gave her various daily necessities and explained how the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy worked. It was very clear that the school valued her talent a lot.

Her gaze accidentally fell on a brand-new spirit tool communicator that was sitting on her bedside table. This was one of the many benefits she received for enrolling in the school. However, as soon as she looked at it, she felt a faint feeling of nausea in her chest. She had to quickly suppress the feeling.

She had felt this way since she was born. For some reason she couldn't explain, she had a strong aversion to spirit tools. It felt like this dislike came from the very depths of her Soul. Even looking at a spirit tool for too long made her feel uncomfortable and sick.

But as she spent more time in the Capital City, where spirit tools were everywhere, she felt the feeling getting a little bit weaker. It was still there, but she could handle it better now than she could before. She knew she had to get used to them if she wanted to stay at this academy.

The students at the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy were mostly Soul Engineers, but they were divided into two different paths. The first path was for spirit tool manufacturers. These students specialized in designing, making, and forging spirit tools. The second path was for spirit tool operators.

These students focused on learning how to use spirit tools in the best way possible for battle or support. To move up to the next grade, students had to pass assessments. For example, a second-year student had to reach the level of a Rank Two Soul Engineer or a Rank Two Operator.

If a student graduated from the sixth year with great grades, they could go to Mingde Hall. Mingde Hall was considered the Holy Land for all Soul Engineers. There, they could study even more and even get their own private workshop.

Wang Donger knew that because she disliked spirit tools so much, she could never be a manufacturer. However, she thought that being a spirit tool operator might be possible for her. After forcing herself to adapt, she felt like she could handle using them even if she didn't like them.

"The first step is done. Now I need to study hard and learn about spirit tools. I have to get stronger so I can find my Big Father and Second Father," Wang Donger whispered to herself. She took a deep breath and patted her cheeks with her hands to wake herself up.

The relaxed look on her face changed into one of determination. She wasn't the Clear Sky Sect Young Lord anymore. There was no one here to clean up her messes or take care of her. She had to learn how to solve her own problems and work hard to reach her goals.

She looked at the spirit tool wall clock and saw that it was getting late. She quickly picked up some bread she had left on her desk and took a big bite. She hurried out the door because she didn't want to be late for her first classes.

This group of new students had already been in school for a few months, so she knew she had to work twice as hard to catch up with them. She ran through the dormitory corridor, still chewing on her bread as she went. She was in a rush and wasn't paying enough attention to what was in front of her.

Just as she was about to run out of the dormitory entrance, two people suddenly appeared right in front of her. Wang Donger realized she was about to crash into them and froze for a second. Without thinking, she released her Spirit to avoid the collision. The huge and beautiful wings of the Radiant Goddess Butterfly opened up behind her. The wings glowed with blue, pink, and gold light.

They looked like something out of a dream. With a gentle flap of her wings, she jumped into the air and soared over the heads of the two people. She landed on the ground steadily on the other side.

"I am so sorry!" Wang Donger said quickly. she pulled her Spirit back and turned around to apologize to the two girls. She didn't wait for an answer because she was in such a hurry to get to the teaching building.

The academy had rules about not using Spirits or spirit tool flight in certain areas, and she didn't want to get in trouble on her very first day. She kept running until she reached her classroom. When she walked inside, she saw that it was still early and most of the other students hadn't arrived yet.

She found a seat and took out a thick book titled "Basic Principles and Operational Overview of spirit tools." She opened it and tried to read, but the complex diagrams and difficult formulas made her feel dizzy and sleepy almost immediately.

She forced herself to keep reading because she knew it was important. After a little while, two girls walked into the classroom. They caught her attention right away. She realized they were the same two girls she had almost run into at the dormitory entrance.

One of the girls had black hair and black eyes. She looked very cool and calm. There was an air of nobility about her, but she also seemed very indifferent, as if she didn't care about anything happening around her.

The other girl was tall and thin with long, brilliant golden hair. Her eyes were as bright and red as rubies. She looked very brave and heroic, and she was incredibly beautiful. Wang Donger looked at them for a moment and then decided to be polite. She stood up and walked over to them.

"Hello, my name is Wang Donger. I wanted to say I am very sorry for almost running into you both earlier at the entrance," she said with a friendly smile. The two girls stopped walking and looked at her. The black-haired girl looked at Wang Donger for a couple of seconds with a calm expression. Then, she spoke in a very cool voice.

"Gu Yue," she said, giving only her name. The golden-haired girl next to her seemed a little bit surprised that her friend had spoken at all. She smiled and gave her own name.

"I am Ancient Autumn," she said. Her voice sounded cheerful and full of energy. After they introduced themselves, the two girls didn't say anything else. They walked to the other side of the classroom and sat down together, leaving Wang Donger standing there.
