"First, you have to understand that this Star Ring method isn't something everyone can use right now. I designed it specifically for the Snow Empress based on her unique body data and energy structure. If I wanted to make it available for everyone, I would need a lot of time to change and adapt the design. Second, the requirements to cultivate this are very difficult.
While a level ninety Spirit Master can usually form a traditional soul core, my improved version is different. Because it has growth potential, it doesn't need much spirit power to start the initial state. However, the person needs much higher control over their spirit power, at least at the level of a Super Douluo."
"Also, the spirit ring that holds the soul core must be at least a hundred-thousand-year ring. A ten-thousand-year spirit ring simply can't handle the heavy load."
Kong Mingan thought back to a recent experiment. Using the sacrifice of an Evil Spirit Master at the Titled Douluo level, he had tested a technique from Elder Yi. It was a spirit ring fusion method that was only halfway finished.
He managed to create an unstable hundred-thousand-year spirit ring to carry the new soul core. However, as soon as Kong Mingan stopped supporting it with his own power, the Star Ring became unbalanced and destroyed itself.
After a short pause, Kong Mingan laughed softly. "Of course, these rules aren't a big problem for you, Ice Empress. You are the second of the three kings of the Extreme North Land. The biggest flaw with the Star Ring method right now is actually the energy needed."
Kong Mingan's voice became more serious. "If we add up all the ten thousand year profound ice marrow the Snow Empress has and what I have left, it is only enough to help her finish four or five Star Rings. That would only let them grow to their limit."
"To keep making more Star Rings later, we will need a massive amount of spirit power. The main goal of this method is to transform spirit power to eventually become a god. The amount of energy needed to reach godhood is enormous."
He looked at her and asked if she had any large sources of energy.
"No..." the Ice Empress said, her voice sounding a bit tight and quiet.
"That is fine, I can fix that," Kong Mingan replied.
The Ice Empress's eyes brightened instantly. Her heart started beating a little faster, even though she didn't want it to. She stayed quiet for a moment, but she couldn't say no to the chance of becoming a god. She finally asked if he could really help her.
"Yes, I can," he answered.
Kong Mingan narrowed his eyes slightly and gave her a kind smile. While she watched him, he calmly reached into his storage spirit tool and pulled out a blank contract. He started writing down different rules and parts of the agreement one by one. A moment later, he pushed the new contract over to the Ice Empress.
"So," he said with a tempting voice, "do you want to sign this?"Â
The Ice Empress looked at how fast he moved and how practiced his smile was. She felt stunned and instinctively took a step back. Her small face was filled with caution. She felt like he had done this many times before. She wondered if he was trying to trick her, but the chance to become a god was right in front of her. She bit her lip, feeling very conflicted.
While the Ice Empress was busy wondering if she was being tricked, things were happening elsewhere. Outside Shrek City, the night was very dark. The moon was hidden behind clouds, and there were very few stars in the sky.
A small group of carriages was traveling on the quiet road toward Shrek City, which was still a few miles away. Suddenly, the spirit beasts pulling the front carriage started making anxious noises.
The lead Spirit Master pulled the reins to stop, and the whole group came to a halt. Right in front of them, an old man sat quietly in a wooden wheelchair. He looked like he had been waiting there for a long time. The moonlight came out and shone on his face. It was Mu En, the Dragon God Douluo.
Mu En looked toward the most expensive carriage in the group. His voice was calm but very powerful. He told Poison Undying to leave Shrek City.
"Hmph," a cold laugh came from the carriage. The curtain was pulled back, and Poison Undying stepped out. He was a large man with dark green hair that stood up straight. He had a very strong and vast aura that he kept tightly controlled.
Mu En's expression changed a little because he could feel a terrifying amount of energy and blood power inside the man. Poison Undying stopped and looked at Mu En with a mean smile. He asked Mu En why he should leave, especially since Mu En was in a crippled, dying body.
Mu En's face stayed calm. He simply repeated his demand for them to leave Shrek City.
Poison Undying laughed at him. He mentioned that a few days ago, a man named Xuan Zi spoke better than Mu En did when he was beaten away.
Mu En did not say anything else. Suddenly, a terrifying energy exploded from his old body. A bright golden light shot up into the sky, making the night look like it was daytime. A huge pressure that felt like a dragon's power crashed down toward Poison Undying like a giant wave. The air felt thick, and the ground shook. It was the power of someone at the very top of the world.
Even under this pressure that would make a normal Titled Douluo fall to their knees, Poison Undying did not move. He laughed loudly, and a dark green light erupted from his body. His Body Spirit appeared, showing off his incredible physical strength and poisonous spirit power. His body began to glow, and he was able to stand against Mu En's dragon power using just his own strength.
One man was a Limit Douluo, and the other was very close to that level. Their powerful energies crashed into each other in the air. Mu En had a small advantage because of his higher rank. His light power began to push back against Poison Undying.
Mu En's eyes glowed with light. He told Poison Undying to take the people from the Body Sect and go away. He said he didn't want to kill anyone.
Poison Undying just smiled more. He asked Mu En if he really thought he was still the same Dragon God Douluo from the old days.
At that moment, nine spirit rings appeared around Poison Undying. He didn't use a normal skill. Instead, he released the rings. This let all the massive energy stored inside the rings flood into his body at once. His power grew even stronger, and heat waves started coming off his body.
"Mu En!" Poison Undying shouted. His body grew larger, and his skin looked like metal. He threw a powerful punch right at Mu En.
Mu En looked very serious. He raised his thin hand and slowly threw a punch of his own. He used a move called King's Descent Upon the World.
The two attacks hit, and the air exploded. Mu En's wheelchair was blown away, but he remained standing on his own feet. He frowned slightly. He could feel a very strong and different kind of power from the punch. He wondered if it was the power of physical blood and energy rather than just spirit power.
