"You should go back, your sister will be waking soon. She's been too worried to sleep well."
Mother said after we finished our talk.
I paused.
"What about your mother? Did you miss me?"
I asked and leaned my head against her shoulder. She ran her hand through my hair softly.
I closed my eyes in bliss while waiting for her answer.
"Do not ever do something so reckless again. From today on, if you leave I'll be going with you."
She said her hand tugging briefly at my hair. I nodded.
'She really missed me'
"What about the duchy mother?"
I asked.
"It can run well by itself. The butler and my attendants are aware of everything that is needed. "
She said evenly. I had thought she was fully attached to the duchy since it's our ancestral home.
"What about the beast tide?"
I asked.
"The other duchies are struggling. There seems to be a rise of a new beast king but I came here so I didn't see it."
"Maybe it's the fire dragon or another type?"
She nodded while deep in thought.
