An hour passed with his younger self sitting by the door nearly dozing off as he waited for the pizza.
'When is that food going to arrive'
Lucian thought in frustration. While he didn't feel much pity for his situation, it was frustrating to see a child sit like a dog waiting for its master to return.
A knock came, and the child sprang to his feet and opened the door without a sense of danger about who might be on the other side.
To his credit, it was only a fifteen-year-old boy holding the ordered pizza. It was clear he was a part-time worker.
"Are you alone?"
The fifteen-year-old asked him in surprise. It seemed the Pizza Hut had completely ignored the situation and decided to stick to their job.
Lucian didn't fault them, who wants to be involved in the drama of the wealthy?
Too much trouble.
"Here.."
The young Lucian gave a few hundred-dollar bills to the stunned kid and stepped to the side.
"What?"
"Can you place it on my dining table?"
