This theory was proved multiple times by one simple fact that Genesis cores are elevated by destroying corruption crystals.
Corruption crystals are a type of crystal which grow when the concentration of corruption becomes too high in a specific region. These crystals are proof that the area is now totally corrupted.
If he had to rank up then he had to first destroy ten corruption crystals which are of grade one category or a single crystal of grade two.
Once he completed this requirement then he would be able to give his second trial which at least wouldn't be an Extreme trial since that is different from the trial meant for awakening the trait, although the theme would be similar.
"Should I register you for Hope Academy?"
Kael nodded. "Yes do it."
He had to go to the academy. The academy was funded by all four super clans and the government. It was a pool of knowledge, containing all the important knowledge of the nearby worlds which humans explored to find corruption crystals as well as how dangerous these worlds were.
Earth might have been invaded by corrupted beasts but the corruption on Earth hadn't reached the stage where it could develop corruption crystals.
So all those who had awakened their Genesis core traveled to these worlds to get corruption crystals so that they could gather the required number of corruption crystals to rank up in class.
They can't even buy corruption crystals here on earth as these crystals wither in less than hour after they were plucked from the ground.
Traveling to a corrupted world was filled with immense risks. No matter how strong you were, getting overwhelmed with numbers would be enough to kill you and a corrupted world was filled with corrupted creatures of all kinds.
That was the reason why every awakened was advised to form groups. You could form a permanent or temporary group to just visit the other world. It was your choice.
The academy was the perfect place to choose your group since you could meet a lot of rankers there.
Generally the famous composition of the group consisted of five rankers. It wasn't because five could fill most of the roles a group needed. Instead corruption crystals grew in groups of five and if a group located them then they could each get one.
Finding corruption crystals in a world wasn't easy unless you had something like a Genesis radar which was humongous and couldn't be carried to the other world.
Although not easy didn't mean impossible as corrupted creatures gathered around corruption crystals mostly so if you found hordes of corrupted creatures then you could be assured that corruption crystals were somewhere near.
Well all this was when you were finding them in some other world by yourself. There was another most easy way to directly go to places where corruption crystals were, vortexes.
"Registration done. I think you should pack your luggage as not much time is left."
"I will do it after bathing."
Kael said and immediately went to the washroom. Seeing warm water in his bathtub he immediately removed his clothes and jumped in.
Today was the 7th of January and he had to go to the academy on the 10th.
As he lay in the bath enjoying his bath he began thinking of what truly happened today. It was too much and it seemed he had just accepted everything normally.
What would happen if news about the fact that he had an Extreme trait got known? Would he become famous? He doubted it much.
On face value he might become famous but all super clans might want him to join them and it wouldn't be pleasant. These clans acted like royalty and saw others like lower beings.
Even if he joined them he wouldn't be more than a special lower being. This was the reason he had always hated their guts. He didn't have any interest in joining them.
'Whatever, let's see how it goes.'

The Hope city was immensely big. Its size was compared to some countries of the old era. There were various modes of travel inside it but the fastest ones were the latest vehicles with engines which worked on Genesis.
Kael was traveling in one of those public transport vehicles. He was sitting by the window and looking towards the city as he hardly traveled so he hadn't seen the city much other than on news.
The vehicle was about to reach the core district of the Hope city as the academy was located in the exact center of the city.
This district was also known as the core city and was the most developed area of Hope city. A special wall separated it from other districts and this wall had a special shield which was even stronger than the outer city walls.
He could already see that wall and shortly after they reached the entrance of the core city and also the last stop of this vehicle.
From here onwards he had to take a different vehicle to travel inside the core city. This vehicle was provided by the academy itself.
There were a lot of new Latents who had awakened their core partially in the last year in Hope city. They all came to the academy. In fact this vehicle was mostly filled with these Latents.
Some were even talking among themselves but he wasn't interested in socializing much so he took the last row seat. He would rather have a temporary functioning team instead of friends who might be dead weights. He couldn't risk his life for something like that.
As Kael came out of the vehicle and was about to go to the gates he stopped immediately as his eyes fell on a girl.
Long dark purple hair, height comparable to him, slim body and— he shook his head and came out of his reverie. Even if she was extremely beautiful he shouldn't have reacted like that.
Rankers were all beautiful. The stronger you got the more beautiful you became at least in terms of body and skin. He himself wasn't bad.
He had seen too many beautiful rankers on broadcast as well as in real life so seeing another one wouldn't have caused this reaction but he felt his blood boil a little before calming down when he saw her.
