Chapter 14 - Raze vs Voxen P2

Gasps still echoed through the stadium.

Raze Arcwell had just blocked a tungsten punch—bare-handed.

No Nexas. No aura.Just a boy… and a suit the world had never seen before.

Voxen Hale stepped back, flexing his fingers as the tungsten dissolved from metal back to skin.

"Tch… unbelievable," he muttered, eyes burning with renewed fire. "No one—no one—has ever caught that attack."

Raze didn't answer.

His breathing was calm. His stance unshaken. His gaze sharp as a blade.

But beneath that stillness…

Abyss Alloy hummed quietly.

◆ ◆ ◆

Whispers Across the Stadium

Students, teachers, spectators—everyone buzzed like lightning trapped in a cage.

"What kind of alloy can block tungsten!?"

"No student should have access to a suit like that!"

"Is that a government prototype?"

"No—Abyss Alloy is illegal for private use!"

"Only five kilograms exist outside the Abyss Crater… how does he have ANY!?"

The teachers leaned forward.

Celeste Ardyn narrowed her eyes.

"That shimmer… that density… I knew it. It wasn't Arcsteel alone."

Principal Leonel's jaw tightened.

"Roland Arcwell… what did you give your son?"

Even Astra Noire, expression usually unreadable, leaned forward slightly.

"That suit… if it's what I think it is…"

Her fingers curled.

"…then Raze is far more dangerous than he looks."

◆ ◆ ◆

 The Truth Behind the Suit

Only Raze and his family knew the truth.

Abyss Alloy wasn't just rare.It was almost impossible to legally possess.

Two hundred years ago, when the Abyss Meteor fell, the radiation it emitted reshaped humanity.

Children under five absorbed the radiation safely.Their DNA adapted.Their Nexas awakened.

But anyone older?

The radiation destabilized their modified DNA—weakening their Nexas, crippling their control, sometimes rendering their abilities useless.

And the stronger the Nexas, the worse the backlash.

That was why Abyss Alloy was heavily restricted. Why the government guarded it like gold.

Abyss Alloy = poison to ability users.

But Raze?

Raze had no Nexas.

No modified DNA.No awakened core.Nothing inside him for the radiation to disrupt.

Which meant:

He could use Abyss Alloy freely.Safely.Completely.

His suit—designed with nanotech chambers and containment seals—could even store and release Abyss radiation on command.

A terrifying weapon…

…but not one he planned to use today.

Raze whispered under his breath:

"I don't need the suit's full power. Not for Voxen. Not for my first real fight."

◆ ◆ ◆

Back to the Fight

Voxen grinned, taking another stance.

"You caught my tungsten strike… but this fight is just getting started."

Raze rolled his wrist.

"Good. I wasn't planning to end it with just one block."

Both fighters lunged—

—but this time, Raze reached behind him.

SHINK—!!

Twin dark batons detached from the magnetic sheath on his back.

Sleek.Dense.Almost humming with restrained force.

Whispers exploded:

"Are those… Abyss Alloy batons?"

"No, the edges—look! Arcsteel mixed with alloy shards!"

"Unbreakable… but light enough to move like a blade!"

Voxen circled him.

"You were saving those, huh?"

Raze lifted them—one reverse grip, one forward.

"You hit hard. I hit faster."

Voxen smirked.

"Then show me."

◆ ◆ ◆

 Close-Combat Erupts

Voxen charged, left arm turning into titanium mid-strike.

Raze stepped forward—

CLANG—!!

The impact spat sparks across the tiles.

Raze ducked under the follow-up strike, pivoted, and slammed a baton against Voxen's ribs.

THUD!

Voxen hissed, though titanium absorbed most of it.

"That all you've got!?"

Raze twirled his batons smoothly.

"No. That was the warm-up."

They clashed again—

Steel for speed.Titanium for stability.Tungsten for raw force.

Voxen switched between metals fluidly, a master of his craft.

But Raze…

Raze adjusted even faster.

Redirecting force.Exploiting transition gaps.Reading movements before they happened.

Every strike was precise.Every dodge efficient.Every counter lethal.

Students couldn't keep up.

"He's fighting a metal shifter with pure skill!?"

"Voxen trained martial arts for YEARS—how is Raze matching him!?"

"This technique… he's on another level."

Roger was screaming like a madman:

"THAT'S MY BOY!! BREAK HIS METAL ARMS!!"

Rain covered her mouth, shocked.

"He's… overpowering Voxen…"

Astra's eyes narrowed.

"So this is your true baseline, Raze Arcwell… interesting."

◆ ◆ ◆

Voxen's Counterattack

Voxen gritted his teeth.

"Fine… THEN TRY THIS!"

His arms shifted—

into a glowing, unstable silver metal.

Students gasped.

"No way—!"

"That's PHASE-SHIFT ALLOY!""That thing's too volatile!"

"If he slips, he'll blow his arms off!"

Voxen didn't care.

He roared and charged—

the alloy vibrating violently, generating shockwaves with every step.

Raze's eyes widened.

He braced.

Their strike collided—

BOOOOOOM—!!!

The arena floor cracked like breaking glass.

Voxen pushed harder, metal humming dangerously.

"RAZE!! I won't… lose… just because I wasn't born into power!!"

Raze's grip tightened.

"Good."

He leaned in.

"I wasn't born into power either."

Their clash burned white-hot.

◆ ◆ ◆

The Breaking Point

Raze felt Voxen's force growing.

His suit groaned.Abyss Alloy plates vibrated.Microfractures flickered along the sleeves.

Students panicked.

"He can't block that alloy forever!""Voxen's pushing him to the limit!""Raze is going to break—!"

But Raze…

Raze only smiled.

Because he hadn't released even one percent of the suit's radiation functions.

Not yet.

Not even close.

◆ ◆ ◆

He twisted his hips—shifted his stance—redirected Voxen's force—

and in one fluid motion, he swung a baton straight into Voxen's exposed ribs.

CRACK—!!!

Voxen coughed, stumbling sideways.

The stadium erupted.

The tide had turned.

◆ ◆ ◆

And the battle—the true battle—was only just beginning.

***************************

The stadium was trembling from the sheer force of their clashes.

Raze and Voxen collided again and again—batons against metal fists, precision against brute force, will against will.

Minutes passed, and neither boy showed signs of backing down.

But then—

Raze exhaled slowly.

He had learned everything he needed to know.

Time to show the world who he truly was.

His fingers brushed a hidden trigger inside his palm.

click—

A soft hum rippled through the suit.

Suddenly—

WHOOM—!!

Lines of cobalt light streaked across his limbs as the suit's nanotechnology activated.

Gasps shot through the arena.

"Did his suit just—just power up!?"

"What kind of tech IS THAT!?"

"That's no academy prototype—who the hell BUILT THAT THING!?"

Even the teachers leaned forward in shock.

Celeste's eyes widened.

"So he's finally revealing the suit's internal systems…"

Astra narrowed her gaze.

"Let's see it, Raze. Show me your maximum."

◆ ◆ ◆

Raze Unleashes the Arcwell Suit

Nano-springs tightened along his joints.Microservos aligned with his muscle fibers. The alloy plates shifted subtly, optimizing balance.

Then—

FWOOOSH!

Raze vanished.

Reappearing behind Voxen like a phantom.

BOOM!

A kick landed.

Then another.And another.

Voxen staggered back, barely managing to shift his arm into steel to parry the third strike.

"W–What the—!? He's faster!?"

"He didn't use radiation… this is just the SUIT'S MOVEMENT TECH!?"

"No ability… no Nexas… just pure tech and training!?"

Students couldn't even follow his movement.

Raze moved like someone who had suddenly broken the limits of a human body.

Boundary after boundary shattered.

Strike after strike landed with terrifying precision.

Raze wasn't holding back anymore.

This was his declaration to the world.

"I am not powerless."

◆ ◆ ◆

Voxen's Desperation

Voxen gritted his teeth.

Raze's enhanced speed was overwhelming.

The suit-assisted footwork—

the enhanced balance—

the acceleration—

He could barely defend, let alone attack.

Why… why is he still getting stronger!?

Another blurred strike cracked Voxen's guard.

He breathed heavily, sweat dripping down his chin.

Raze stepped forward, calm and composed.

"Voxen. You're strong… but I told you before."

He raised both batons.

"I didn't come here to survive. I came here to prove myself."

Voxen trembled.

Not from fear—

—but from something awakening inside him.

◆ ◆ ◆

The Metal Evolution

A roar tore from Voxen's throat.

"NOT YET! I WON'T LOSE… NOT LIKE THIS!"

His hands glowed.

Then his arms.

Then parts of his torso.

The glow spread like wildfire—

The air vibrated.

The arena lights flickered.

Teachers shot up from their seats.

"No way—" "That glow—his Nexas is evolving!?"

"He's awakening mid-battle!?"

Raze stepped back, eyes narrowing.

Voxen's voice cracked from the strain—

"I can… feel it…! My metal control—!"

His arms shifted—

Then his shoulders—

Then his left leg—

But only one part at a time, flowing like liquid metal under his skin.

He screamed—

"My Nexas… it evolved!! I can change ANY PART of my body into ANY METAL I WANT!!"

The stadium exploded into chaos.

Astra's eyes widened slightly.

"So he awakened under pressure… impressive."

Bam shouted:

"VOXEN'S GOING ALL OUT!!"

Roger clapped his hands over his mouth.

"Oh crap oh crap oh crap—Raze, don't DIE!!"

Even Raze smiled faintly.

"Congratulations, Voxen."

Metal surged across Voxen's leg as he lunged.

"But evolution—"

Voxen's fist turned into shimmering titanium.

Raze spun away, the blow cracking the tiles beneath his feet.

"It doesn't guarantee victory."

◆ ◆ ◆

Steel vs Tech

The battlefield turned into a storm.

Voxen's right arm became chromium—fast, sharp, near frictionless.

Raze deflected with a baton, sparks showering everywhere.

Then Voxen's left leg turned into osmium—heavy, dense, earth-shattering.

Raze flipped over the strike, landing behind him.

Then his shoulder turned into tungsten carbide—enough to shatter reinforced armor.

Raze caught the blow on his forearm guard—the nanotech springs absorbing the shock.

Students screamed with every impact.

They looked like two monsters—

A human metal factory.

A human engineered weapon.

Their movements became a blur of impact and light.

Voxen's roars grew stronger.

Raze's steps grew sharper.

The arena floor cracked under their feet.

◆ ◆ ◆

Raze's Resolve Hardens

Voxen swung again—his elbow turning into hardened cobalt.

Raze ducked, parried—and smashed a baton into Voxen's metal-shifting ribs.

BOOM!

Voxen coughed, stumbling, but didn't fall.

Raze stepped back, twirling the batons once.

"Voxen."

Voxen raised his head, panting, metal flickering across his limbs.

"You evolved today. You break your own limits… and that's incredible."

His batons clicked together.

"But I am not done yet."

Raze's voice lowered.

"This is the path I chose. The world doubted me… so I will rise high enough to force them to watch."

His eyes burned like blue fire.

"I won't use radiation against you. I don't need it."

Voxen clenched his fists.

"Tch… then come! PROVE IT!"

◆ ◆ ◆

 The Clash Before the Storm

Raze charged with the full acceleration of the Arcwell suit.

Voxen charged with newly awakened metal power.

Their silhouettes collided in a burst of shockwaves—

The arena trembled.

The audience covered their ears.

Energy spread across the field like roaring thunder.

BOOOOOOOM—!!!

The light faded.

Dust swirled.

Two figures remained.

Raze—standing firm.

Voxen—still unyielding.

And everyone watching knew—

The battle wasn't over.

The real ending was still waiting to explode.
