A permanent loss of 100 points from all stats wasn't something he could ignore.

Even for him—

That was significant.

At SA headquarters—

Lim Cheolho watched silently.

Then, he nodded.

"As expected…"

This was the nature of the Undefeated King class.

The strongest—

Yet the most dangerous.

A double-edged sword.

If used properly, it could make the user unmatched.

But if the user failed—

It would destroy them just as easily.

Alan finally understood.

Why "Undefeated" was part of his class title.

And—

What would happen—

If he ever lost.

"…Though it's not that bad."

Alan paused, carefully analyzing the penalty instead of panicking.

Since obtaining the Undefeated King class, he had leveled up quietly—meaning he had already received the bonus stats granted every 11th level of him remaining undefeated.

And each time—

The bonus was three times the usual stat gain.

With his current growth rate, he gained around 98 stat points per bonus level.

"The penalty… will only take away the equivalent of one bonus cycle."

Alan muttered calmly as he finished calculating it.

In other words—

It wasn't insignificant.

But it also wasn't enough to cripple him.

His eyes steadied again.

"…Then there's nothing to worry about as long a I remain undefeated."

A huge smile spread across Alan's face.

Just then, he heard Sage Sticks' voice.

"It is possible that the Undefeated King, Madra, still retains his intelligence. You should be cautious."

"…Still has his intelligence?"

Alan frowned slightly.

After clearing the 65th island, just before stepping onto the 66th—

Sticks had given him this warning.

"Death Knights can have intelligence?" Alan asked.

"Yes," Sticks replied calmly. "If the individual had a strong will in life, then even after becoming a Death Knight—or even a lich—they can retain fragments of their memories."

He paused before continuing,

"And those memories… become their driving force."

"A strong mind… What would the Undefeated King hold onto even after death?"

Alan frowned slightly.

"It almost sounds like he died peacefully…"

- He didn't.

Madra's voice cut in, cold and firm.

- He died unhappy. He was murdered by his own son.

"…What?"

Alan's eyes narrowed.

Sage Sticks stepped forward and spoke.

"The reason Prince Rajandra harmed Madra wasn't out of hatred. In his memoirs, it's clear—he loved and admired his father deeply."

"…?"

Alan couldn't understand.

Love? Admiration?

Then why kill him?

Sticks continued.

"Madra believed he could protect Lubana forever. But Prince Rajandra knew the truth—Madra was human. One day, he would die of old age."

"…And then?"

"Rajandra feared what would happen after that day. As long as Madra lived, the empire kept invading. His existence alone provoked endless war. And while his fame grew… Lubana was being torn apart."

Alan stayed silent.

"Rajandra begged him many times. For the people, for the future—he asked Madra to make peace with the empire. But Madra refused every time. He called Rajandra a coward. He despised him."

Sticks' voice grew heavier.

"Time passed. Madra grew old… and Rajandra's fear reached its peak."

"…So he chose?"

Sticks nodded.

"Not just him. The nobles, knights, soldiers—everyone was afraid. They believed Lubana would fall the moment Madra died. So they pushed Rajandra to act."

"…And he did."

"Yes."

Silence lingered for a moment.

"Madra's head… was offered to the empire."

"…."

Alan's expression hardened slightly.

"In return, Rajandra secured the lives of the royal family and the people. Lubana fell under the empire… but its people survived."

Sticks exhaled slowly.

"They say Madra's head was displayed at the gates of Titan for a year."

"…Tch."

Alan clicked his tongue.

"What a pathetic ending…"

The man who stood undefeated all his life—

Reduced to a symbol.

Humiliated even in death.

But—

Alan's eyes grew thoughtful.

"…Still."

He could understand it.

Not accept it—

But understand it.

Madra was strong.

Too strong.

So strong that he never had to think like the weak.

And in the end—

That strength blinded him.

-Its true I was blind, never being defeated in my life stopping the unstoppable Empire I didn't see the suffering my soldiers, my Kingdom people is going through because of War.

Madra's voice echoed in Alan's mind as Alan took a deep breath.

'You were entirely not at fault' Alan said.

-How can you be sure of it?

Madra asked.

'Cause you only fought to prevent the Empire from occupying your land' Alan said as Madra scoffed.

-And what did it cause to me?

Madra asked angrily.

'Your approach was wrong, instead of defending it you should have attacked the Empire, formed alliances with other kingdoms' Alan said.

-Saying is easy.

Madra said.

' I will prove it by destroying the Empire' Alan said as Madra fell silent.

-Then show me how you could have done it.

Madra said as Alan stepped on the last Island.

[ You have entered the 66th island. ]

[ You deserve praise for reaching this place. ]

[ Give rest to the last remaining hero... ]

"The notification windows are very interesting."

The guardian of the 66th island was the last remaining hero.

It was safe to assume that the legend who had become a Death Knight was also in a painful state.

"…Hmm?"

Alan was slightly confused when he looked around the 66th island.

It was just—

Flat ground.

Nothing else.

There were no rocks, no trees, no obstacles.

No place to hide.

No terrain advantage.

"This will be your hardest fight" Sage Sticks said, clearly he don't know what enemies Alan have fought so in his mind Death Knight Madra might be the strongest enemy he might face.

"Is he that strong despite being a Death Knight now?" Alan simply asked.

Sage Sticks nodded.

"Yes. Before anything else, he was the ultimate warrior—even before being a strategist. A place like this, where there are no variables and it's a one-on-one fight, suits him the most."

He paused before adding,

"In truth… he could achieve a perfect victory on any terrain."

"The world only knows of Sword Saint Muller as the strongest legend, but that's not entirely true," Sticks said.

"Muller traveled across the entire world, spreading his fame to reach that level, while Madra was confined to a small place—yet still became strong enough to stop the Saharan Empire of that time, which had many powerful figures on the level of legends."
