"Woah… you're totally different from Sapphire," Alan said as he gently patted the cub's head.

Then he placed it into his pet inventory for now. "I'll call you later."

"I'm sorry. Due to the current state of the Church, we can't provide you with any additional rewards. Please accept the Holy Light equipment set instead," Rin said.

Alan nodded. "That's fine. I'm leaving then."

With that, he departed the Vatican and soon arrived back at the cave where Marie Rose had once been sealed.

"You're back. Did you find a suitable successor?" Pope Chreshler asked.

Alan shook his head. "No. But I'm going to create one for you."

"…Create one?" Chreshler looked confused.

"Activate Guardian Creation."

[ Guardian Creation Skill Activated ]

[ Please select the main soul essence. ]

Alan selected Mumud's Soul Essence.

[ Please select the main body. ]

This time, Alan selected Pope Drevigo's body.

"…That was the Pope. Did you kill him?" Chreshler asked, shocked.

"Yes. He was corrupt. I received a quest directly from the Goddess to execute him," Alan replied calmly.

Chreshler fell silent as Alan continued.

'Just how much Rebecca Church have fallen' he thought.

[ Add additional essences and bodies, if desired. ]

Alan added:

Malacus' Soul Essence

Pope Drevigo's Soul Essence

Malacus' Body

[ Are you sure you want to proceed? ]

[ The selected materials possess contradictory natures.

Something holy and something evil will be fused.

The result may be unstable. ]

Alan pressed Yes.

"If it turns out bad, I'll just hunt more demon servants or corrupt popes and redo it," Alan muttered.

Chreshler's lips twitched upon hearing that.

A massive magic circle appeared. Pope Drevigo's body began to dissolve, pulling in the other materials as black and white light violently intertwined.

[ Guardian Creation has begun ]

[ Light and Darkness are fighting for dominance… ]

[ The chance of failure has increased! ]

"Huh? It can even fail?" Alan muttered, finally feeling worried.

[ Mumud's Essence – Mana Dominator activated! ]

[ Mumud's Essence begins to overpower Light and Darkness. ]

[ Mumud's Essence absorbs the power of both Light and Darkness. ]

Description:

A anomaly born—destined for greatness. ]

Alan looked at his first Guardian.

He was a handsome young man with white hair and black-gray eyes that shone with intelligence.

"My creator, please bestow me with a name," the Guardian said, bowing respectfully.

Alan nodded.

"Well then… your name will be Lucifer."

Lucifer smiled faintly. "I will bear this name as my own, my lord."

Alan nodded in satisfaction.

His intelligence, holy power, and demonic power are absurdly high for a level one, Alan thought. He's basically a super named NPC—one that gains 10–30 stat points per level. His future potential is terrifying.

His true strength must come from the three soul essences, Alan realized.I can see it now—each soul essence contributes directly to his starting stats.

Alan felt that he finally understood something about the Guardian Creation skill.

"So," Alan said, turning toward Chreshler, "how do you like him? He can even inherit skills, you know."

Chreshler—whose body was now the Sacred Wood Coffin—looked completely bewildered.

"…What exactly are you?" he asked.

"It's not my own theory," Alan replied casually.

"I learned it from someone named Mumud. It's his magic theory—the ultimate golem creation combined with Alchemy's artificial life and necromancy soul domination. Guardian Creation is basically a perfected synthesis of those ideas."

Chreshler stared at him.

"Mumud… I don't know such a being," he muttered. "But to create magic theories like this… he must have been truly great."

"Beats me," Alan shrugged.

"By the way, do you know Braham?" Alan asked.

"Of course," Chreshler nodded. "Who wouldn't know the legendary magician who made magic easier for humans to use?"

"Braham stole Mumud's magic simplification theory and published a watered-down version," Alan said calmly.

"So in truth, Braham is just a fraud. It was Mumud who made magic accessible to humans."

"…I see," Chreshler said quietly.

"As expected of Pagma's friend," Chreshler continued, "he's similar in nature."

"But I still can't accept him as my successor," he added.

"Why not?" Alan asked.

"Isn't it blasphemy?" Chreshler replied. "What would the gods think of a Pope who can wield dark magic?"

' Not to mention giving him my legacy basically means giving you the whole Rebecca Church' it was his main concern.

He pointed at Lucifer, who was standing calmly in a white robe, expression serene.

"That's fine," Alan said lightly. "I have someone else who can inherit your skills."

With that, Alan immediately messaged Damian, sending him the location and urging him to come as fast as possible.
