Chapter 48 - Coffin of Death

With that thought, Alan activated Appraisal on the coffin.

Braham was once immortal, feared, and revered among the vampire clans. However, after losing his immortality due to an unknown taboo, he was exiled and erased from vampire history.

Centuries later, Braham himself modified this coffin, using it as a medium to bind death mana. Through it, he transformed his deceased disciple Mumud into a Lich, sealing him within to preserve his soul and power.

*All effects applied even if the coffin is in inventory.

Restrictions: First Rank Necromancer or Baal's Contractor or Braham's Successor or Great Magician.]

[You have witnessed a Transcendent-made weapon!]

[Insight has increased by 100.]

[ You have glimpsed at the power of Transcendent]

[ All magic skills +1 ]

"Is this my lucky day or what? I'm getting so many good things today," Alan smiled wildly as he looked at the options in front of him.

"Hehehe… and I can use this too," Alan grinned as he stored the coffin away.

"Okay, so now I have two new extremely powerful skills—Mumud's Guardian Creation and Necromancy. I can only have five undead, or two Legendary undeads. I'm going to aim for the best ones," Alan muttered.

"Hmmm… I guess I'll need to do some research and find Legendary-level corpses or something close," Alan mumbled thoughtfully.

"Now then," Alan said, licking his lips as two more skills appeared—one from Mumud and one from Braham.

[ Dark Dragon Breath ]

"Another Legendary spell… nice," Alan said, nodding in satisfaction.

Mana Cost: Variable

Cooldown: 30 minutes ]

"…This skill is insane," Alan muttered.

"If I analyze Hell gao's Hellfire… I might actually obtain Hellfire properties for my own magic."

Alan's smile slowly deepened.

"Now, my next step is obviously to gain back my levels plus to find good body to create my first guardian or some good bodies to create some good undeads too" Alan mumbled as he came out of the vampire city 13th.

"My one-month time limit is over," Alan muttered as he stared at his status screen. The buff he had received after clearing the 15th Vampire City had finally expired.

"Hmmm… should I hunt in the desert now, or should I continue hunting in the vampire cities?" Alan wondered.

"It'll be troublesome if another powerful boss like Elfin Stone appears in the cities again," he muttered.

"Still… a True Vampire boss corpse would be perfect for creating my first Guardian," Alan thought, already planning ahead.

'But first… let's create a spell. One I'll need anywhere.'

[ Spell Creation Initiated ]

[ Please describe the spell you wish to create. ]

"I want an unlocking-type spell," Alan said.

"A spell that lets me unlock anything—as long as my Intelligence is high enough. No locks or barriers should be able to stop me."

"After this, I'll go back to the 14th and 15th Vampire Cities and open all those treasure chests I couldn't access before," Alan muttered.

[ Spell Possible ]

[ This will consume one spell creation slot. Do you wish to proceed? ]

"Yes," Alan answered, pressing confirm without hesitation.

[ Spell Created ]

[ Unlock ]

Rank: Legendary

Description:

As long as the user's Intelligence is sufficiently high, no lock or barrier can obstruct the user.

Casting Time: 1 second

Mana Cost: Variable

Cooldown: 10 seconds

Alan exhaled slowly as he read the spell.

"…Perfect."

With this, no door, no seal, and no hidden treasure would ever remain beyond his reach.

Vampire City – 12th

"In the end, I had to come here," Alan sighed. There was still a cooldown on the 14th and 15th Vampire Cities, preventing him from re-entering them for now.

"I just hope there isn't a powerful boss here…"

"But at least I can use this now."

Alan smiled as he took out the Hellfire Staff. It was the most powerful staff he owned—second only to Mumud's Orb, his strongest artifact.

"Alright," Alan said, gripping the staff firmly.

"Let's power level again."

He looked down at the city below. Blood Bats and Blood Wolves roamed the streets—vampire familiars that served as the city's guardians.
