Zarhulash, floated in the air.
His body was silver-white, with thin, bright arcs of electricity running across its surface. Unimaginable energy surged from within him, and his eyes shone brilliantly.
The moment he saw the Void Dragon, his body trembled violently and an expression of shock appeared on his face.
"Void Dragon?? What are you doing here??"
Back then the Necromancers of the universe had seized upon the C'tan's weaknesses, betrayed them, shattered them into pieces, and sealed most of those fragments inside Dimension Cubes.
The Void Dragon was coiled in the deepest part of the hall. Its silver-white body was wrapped in bright, dazzling green light.
Its head was shaped like a dragon's, yet it was not the kind of dragon that appeared in terrestrial legends. Rather, it was long, slender, and shaped like a thin silver-white sword.
On its head were six sharp horns that tilted backward, their tips gleaming in the darkness. Behind it stretched a long metallic tail.
The overall form certainly resembled a dragon, but it was rather abstract.
The Void Dragon also witnessed the summoned Overlord Zarhulash.
Being able to meet other people here was quite surprising.
Then it realized that one of its own kin was being controlled by apes and turned into a slave, and it immediately flew into a rage.
"You have truly become a slave of those despicable apes."
When the Void Dragon spoke about humans it used extremely contemptuous and arrogant language.
Even after being defeated by the Emperor, it stubbornly continued to believe that humans were nothing more than a collection of despicable apes.
What does it mean for a C'tan to be enslaved by a troop of apes?
Such a thing must never be allowed, and must never happen.
Zarhulash was a little dissatisfied. What exactly did he mean by "slave"?
Can someone who has become a subordinate of the nameless one really be called a slave?
That's called flattering people, don't you understand? You really have no sense of right and wrong.
"You know nothing about the power of the nameless one." Zarhulash did not direct a friendly gaze toward the Void Dragon either. "Once you understand his power, you will realize how fortunate it is to be his servant."
"You have become cowardly and incompetent." The Void Dragon glared at the ruler.
"If I were you, even if I died, shattered into pieces, and turned to ash, I would never bow my head to those despicable apes."
"Besides, what power could mere apes possibly possess?"
"The C'tan race is the most powerful and terrifying existence in the galaxy. They are the true gods, destined to rule the entire galaxy."
"Just watch. I will immediately make your master kneel and swear loyalty to me."
Hiss…
Zarhulash sucked in a breath and lowered his voice.
"Brother, listen to my advice. Don't make reckless statements. Otherwise you will suffer a great loss."
The last person who said he wanted to make the nameless one kneel is now buried under a pile of weeds.
This man is truly reckless!
Hearing Zarhulash's words, the Void Dragon sneered and adopted an extremely arrogant attitude.
Do you think everyone is as useless as you?
Even if I said that, so what? What can mere apes do?
"Once I get out of here, all those apes will become my food."
After finishing speaking, the Void Dragon shifted its gaze from Zarhulash to the astrologer Orikan and recognized him as one of the traitors.
"I already thought it was pathetic enough that you became a slave of apes, but I never expected it could get even more pathetic." The Void Dragon's tone was full of sarcasm. "Not only are you enslaved by humans, you are also joining hands with slaves who were once traitors."
"You are not worthy of being a member of our clan. You have brought shame upon our clan."
"What you should do is tear the Necrons and their damned masters to shreds."
Orikan stood there, listening to the Void Dragon's endless long-winded speech, his silver-white metal face twitching slightly.
He is a prisoner, yet he is still as arrogant as ever.
They deserve their current fate.
Datch stared at the Void Dragon with a very irritated expression.
Why is the introduction so long?
Is a mere Void Dragon worth spending this much time on?
What on earth is going on inside the game designer's head?!
"Excuse me, may I speak for a moment?"
Hearing that sound, the Void Dragon suddenly turned its silver-white head and fixed its oppressive gaze on Datch.
You damned ape, you don't think a fragment of a C'tan is a C'tan, do you? How dare you interrupt my speech.
If I don't make you experience the wrath of a C'tan, you will never know the vastness of heaven and earth.
"Foolish ape." The Void Dragon's voice was extremely oppressive. "You have no right to speak to me."
Hearing this, Datch immediately became displeased.
What does "foolish ape" mean?
What do you mean I have no right to speak in front of you?
The remains of the C'tan must be dealt with resolutely so that the enemies know that humanity is the ruler of this galaxy.
There is no longer any place for these old things on the ships of the new era.
"Skip all the conversation and beat this guy black and blue!" Datch declared fiercely and waved his hand.
Having once again received the nameless one's order, Zarhulash entered combat stance without hesitation.
In an instant Zarhulash's body suddenly swelled to more than twice its size.
A terrifying torrent of energy erupted, like a rising sun.
When Zarhulash stretched out his hand, light gathered and formed a staff in his palm.
With a single swing of the staff, a mountain-thick beam of light was released, sliced through the air, and slammed into the Void Dragon.
The Void Dragon did not dodge the attack. It roared and exhaled a powerful, scorching black dragon breath capable of destroying everything.
Wherever the dragon breath passed, everything was swallowed by darkness and vanished without a trace.
Light and darkness collided in the center of the hall, generating a terrifying shockwave that shook the entire labyrinth.
The Void Dragon glared at Zarhulash and let out an ear-splitting, fierce roar.
"You bastard, Zarhulash! How dare you betray us! How could you do such a thing!"
"There was no betrayal." Even amid the roar of energy, Zarhulash's voice rang out clearly. "Void Dragon, we have no connection. The age of the C'tan is over."
The ruler's staff drew a circle in the air. It spun in a spiral and released successive waves of energy.
He was accumulating power in preparation for the next attack.
"Now is the age of the nameless one." Zarhulash's voice gradually grew louder. "You have only two choices: submit to him, or meet death."
"You will regret these words, Zarhulash." The Void Dragon roared and unleashed even more terrifying energy in counterattack.
"Let's do this."
Orikan summoned countless scarabs.
Their bodies were made of silver-white living metal, about the size of a palm, and resembled beetles.
With glowing green runes carved on their backs, the moment they appeared they swarmed toward the Void Dragon and seized its limbs and wings.
Like a tide, they piled up in layers, covering the Void Dragon's body and attempting to erode and destroy its form.
"Is that all?"
Terrifying energy suddenly erupted from the Void Dragon's body.
The scarabs covering it exploded.
Countless fragments scattered into the air, drawing countless thin meteor-like trails in the darkness.
Then the Void Dragon lunged at the others, intending to defeat everyone by itself.
"Wow, such a small fragment is making such a big fuss!"
Datch took the transformation belt of the Emperor's armor from the game warehouse, fastened it around his waist, and shouted, "Armor Combine, Emperor's Armor!"
When the loud shout rang out, endless golden light burst forth, shining so dazzlingly that no one could look directly at it.
The next moment Datch was clad in the heavy Emperor's armor and held the Aurora Sword that emitted dazzling light.
"Take this sword."
He shouted loudly while leaping into the chaotic battlefield, intending to suppress the Void Dragon.
Faced with such a large-scale attack, the Void Dragon immediately fell into a disadvantageous position.
After all, it was not a complete Void Dragon — only a fragment.
Lacking the terrifying power and authority of a complete existence, it could not withstand the group's siege.
After a harsh trial and fierce battle, filled with resentment, it suffered defeat.
It was pinned down by the ruler Zarhulash and restrained so tightly that it could not move.
"Defeating it is useless." The Emperor approached the Void Dragon and spoke to Datch. "It will never submit."
"If it does not submit, the Men of Iron will forever carry a hidden danger."
In the Middle Ages the Emperors had defeated the Void Dragon.
Because they could not completely destroy it, they sealed it here in order to correct the path humanity should take and free it as much as possible from dependence on the Warp.
Datch ignored the Emperor and took a Master Ball from the game inventory.
Who wants the Void Dragon to submit?
Datch only wanted to make this guy submit, use it as a Pokémon, exploit it as a slave, use it for mining and power generation, turn it into a mobile battery, and squeeze out all of its value.
Heh heh heh, feel the terror of evil capitalists.
"Even if I die, I will never yield to your tyranny."
The Void Dragon roared again and again, twisting its gigantic silver-white body and struggling to escape Zarhulash's control and Orikan's scarabs.
However, Zarhulash's power was in no way inferior to its own.
His hands firmly pinned the Void Dragon down, making escape difficult.
Orikan's scarabs also swarmed, clinging to the Void Dragon's body, manipulating its limbs, continuously devouring its body, and forcing it to constantly consume energy for self-repair.
"Zarhulash, I will not let you get away with this." The Void Dragon became hysterical like a beast driven to the brink of despair. "You despicable, shameless bastard. To yield to those pathetic apes and betray your own kin — what a shameful, despicable bastard."
Datch pressed the button on the Master Ball and threw it at the Void Dragon.
The ball flew through the air on a meteor-like trajectory, grazed Zarhulash's shoulder and the swarm of Orikan's scarabs, and landed accurately on the Void Dragon's head.
In an instant the gigantic Void Dragon was sucked into the Master Ball.
Then the Master Ball closed, the light it had been emitting vanished, and it fell to the ground with a click.
Datch walked over, bent down, and picked up the Master Ball.
After waiting a while, he threw the Master Ball into the air and summoned the Void Dragon.
The moment the Void Dragon appeared, its eyes burning with fierce flames locked onto Datch and it lunged at him, intending to tear him apart.
The next moment incomparable intense pain descended, punishing the Void Dragon for the crime it had committed against its master.
The Void Dragon had never experienced such pain.
It was as if its own heart had been placed in a millstone and was being crushed and reassembled over and over again.
It let out an uncontrollable groan of agony. Its gigantic body suddenly froze and became unable to move.
The Void Dragon tried to endure the pain, but by the mysterious power of punishment every moment of that pain was stretched into eternity.
In the span of a single instant the Void Dragon endured countless pains and sufferings, as if countless years had passed.
For the first time the impulse to die rapidly welled up in its heart.
Rather than taste such suffering, it would be better to return to nothingness.
However, that existence was bound by the power of punishment to the state of "being alive."
No matter what it did, it would not perish. It could only quietly continue to live.
In the end the Void Dragon surrendered.
Though unwilling, it still spoke to Datch in a flattering tone. "It is an honor for me to serve the noble nameless one."
The moment those words left its mouth, the pain vanished.
It gave people the illusion that nothing of the sort had ever happened.
Seeing the Void Dragon's flattering attitude, Zarhulash openly displayed disgust.
"Even if you died, shattered into pieces, and turned to ashes, you would never bow your head to humanity?"
"Just kidding, don't take it seriously," the Void Dragon said without any sense of shame.
What it had learned after living for so many years was that face only exists when one possesses power.
Now that it knew a single thought from the other party could leave it half-dead, it no longer had the courage to maintain an arrogant attitude.
The Emperor was completely dumbfounded by this scene.
The nameless one is truly quick-witted. How on earth did he tame such an unruly Void Dragon?
If the Void Dragons can sincerely serve humanity, restarting AI does not seem like such a bad thing.
The difference in capability between humans equipped with AI and humans without AI is truly enormous.
When Priest Simeon witnessed the appearance of the Void Dragon, he began to question the meaning of life.
My Void Dragon and your Void Dragon seem to be different.
At least the Void Dragon in his memory was not that servile.
"Alright, then let's continue the discussion about lifting the AI prohibition." Datch lost his words.
The operation to rescue Primarch II had become far too long, involving even the Mars Protocol and the Void Dragon.
I've run around so much that I'm truly tired.
Expectation floated on Vitan M's face. If the AI prohibition order is lifted…
Detroit and Vivis will now be able to appear openly within the Imperium of Man.
"Your Excellency, the Void Dragon has been suppressed and the final problem of AI has also been solved, so there is no longer any need to lift the ban. However, we need to return to the surface, go to the volcano Olympus Mons, and report this matter."
The Emperor even changed the way he addressed Datch.
It is not that he is weak-willed — the nameless ones are simply too wonderful.
The Void Dragon can be freely attacked or suppressed.
With such a powerful backer, if he does not rely on him now, the chance will never come again!
