Chapter 4 - Collecting Attributes While Giving Pointers

Located in the southern Ye Manor, the training grounds were large and composed of a vast open courtyard of stone slabs, perfectly placed for everyone to train on, along with many simple structures surrounding it.

Weapon racks, stone pedestals, drinking sources, resting areas, and even isolated areas were present.

Martial artists were a clan's future. If their future generation was good, they could rise to great heights, and vice versa.

So every clan spared no effort in grooming their younger generations into the best martial artists.

The Ye Clan was no different, hence the state of the current training grounds where more than a hundred teenagers practiced together.

And perhaps the happiest to see their hard work was none other than Ye Jun. He truly appreciated their hard work.

After all, they dropped so many attributes.

'Now, let's see. I don't have any backing, so this is the same all over again. Guess I'll need to sit back and farm first.' Ye Jun thought.

In his previous life, he could guess his Boss's intentions but failed to do anything, all because he made many enemies in his line of work. Without his Boss's protection, everyone would have killed him.

No matter what anyone said, if you were going against powerful people, you needed backing first or to be powerful yourself. And this was a cultivation world, which was even worse than Earth.

At least there, he could fight in the worst cases. But here, he would be killed with no resistance whatsoever, especially since his father already hated him and groomed his younger brother.

'I hate laying low, but I need to so they don't kill me. Those bum MCs can survive with plot armor, but I don't know if I even have that.'

When Ye Jun thought about it, it wasn't that bad. He had done various missions where he had to lie low and observe the situation first before striking, so it was the same here.

Besides, with the attribute farming system, he could get stronger really fast, so it was just a matter of time before he got out of this clan.

'Yes. Let's do this, then. Time to become an idiot!'

Ye Jun took a deep breath and strolled forward into the training grounds. As the previous Ye Jun was a training freak, his presence was normal here, but what he was going to do didn't suit him.

Some gave him strange looks as they couldn't understand, but he simply continued to observe the training as he nodded in satisfaction and even gave pointers to others.

"Your base is a little off. Yes, put your legs to your left."

"Nice going, but you need to put more strength into your fist. What are you, a kid? Wait, you are. Never mind."

"Get a grip. Your back feels like that of an old man. That's not how you practice it."

Ye Jun was nineteen years old, while these youths were around fifteen years old. They were his juniors in a sense, even though some had already achieved the same cultivation as him.

So although they felt angry at getting instructions from a failure like him, nobody said anything.

He was still the Young Master, after all.

His comments infuriated them, but they endured it as part of training and continued with their practice.

'Hehe! So many bubbles!'

Of course, Ye Jun couldn't care less about what they felt about him. He only jumped around toward everyone for the glowing bubbles scattered on the ground.

'Huh? I can even get that?' Ye Jun paused, surprised at the new notification. 'Damn, this system is OP! Let's continue!'

Just like that, he swept the whole courtyard and collected all the attributes. But that was also when he realized that new ones took time to form.

'Hmm, that's understandable.'

Ye Jun decided to rest for some time and let the attributes accumulate again. So he spent the next few hours training himself and collecting attributes.

While doing this, he also observed the pattern of attribute orbs dropping. Everyone dropped fewer orbs as time went on, while the newcomers dropped more often.

'So is it related to energy-type shit? The more exhausted one is, the less they'll drop? And since they're weak, only after several minutes do they drop an orb.'

By the time it was almost noon, all the youths left to do their work and learn, leaving only Ye Jun along with some workers.

Sitting on a pedestal, Ye Jun took deep breaths to calm himself and thought, 'The training regime here is really intense. Even the simple posture training makes you sweat hard.'

He looked back at his status and couldn't help but smile.

'In just a single day, I almost reached the Fifth-Stage Body Strengthening Realm,' Ye Jun thought with glee. 'I need more farming because I'm too far behind.'

An average martial artist reached the peak of the Body Strengthening Realm by the age of nineteen or twenty, and here he was stuck at the Fourth Stage.

Geniuses reached it even earlier.

Normally, he should still take a year or two to get there, but with the system in hand, he was confident in bridging the gap in no time.

'Still, this can even give me proficiency in techniques?' Ye Jun thought. 'Ridiculous!'

Tempered Frame Art was a Middle-Grade Yellow Rank Mysterious Technique, something that pretty much everyone in the Ye Clan practiced during the Body Strengthening Realm.

'If my proficiency goes up, I'll progress faster. That's double benefits.'

The more he explored the system, the more he liked it. As long as he was given enough time, he could easily surpass the Heads of the Ye Clan.

'That's the problem, though. Many geniuses and prodigies die young. Potential means shit if you die early.'

He knew that better than anyone else, considering he had slain many of those so-called prodigies.

"Hey, get off from there! I need to clean!"

Ye Jun frowned slightly and looked down at the male servant. As usual, they only respected him when everyone was around. In their absence, they liked to bully his previous self.

'Humans and their nature to bully the weak just to inflate their own egos.'

He sighed and jumped down right in front of the male servant. His height easily towered over him, and with his dense muscles, he looked quite a sight.

Casting his cold, piercing gaze at the servant, he said, "Your parents are really pathetic, aren't they?"

"What did you say?" the servant got angry.

Ye Jun slapped him hard, causing him to stumble and even roll once before coming to a stop. He crouched near him and said, "Remember your status before speaking up to me again."

With that, he snorted and left the training grounds. Just because he decided to lie low didn't mean he was going to take bullying and disrespect like the previous Ye Jun.

However, just as he left the main area of the training grounds, he found a group of youths blocking his way.

In front of them stood a young man with a dignified aura and refined clothes. His white robes lacked any dust as he stared at Ye Jun with his narrowed black eyes.

Ye Jun couldn't help but sigh in exasperation.

'Hell nah! I encountered this bum on day one?'

Of course, the one who stood before him was his younger brother, the supposedly next Young Master after Ye Jun would lose his status.

Ye Chen.

Another person who made sure Ye Jun lived in hell.
