Chapter 34 - The Respect in Kirara’s Heart

"A delivery addressed specifically to Tianquan Ningguang herself?"

On the way to the teahouse, Lin Ze stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"No wonder Kirara managed to make it all the way to Liyue.

So she really did come over on Beidou's ship."

Anything that required Ningguang's personal receipt was guaranteed to be important.

And Ningguang and Beidou had been close friends for many years—if Kirara had boarded Beidou's fleet, crossing from Inazuma to Liyue during the Sakoku Decree made perfect sense.

The only strange part was that Beidou hadn't brought Kirara directly to Ningguang.

But Lin Ze didn't bother thinking any further.

The sky is big, the land is wide—but enjoyment comes first.

Whatever Ningguang had purchased had nothing to do with him anyway.

With that thought, Lin Ze strode toward the teahouse.

Before going inside, however, he detoured to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

Teahouses were great for tea and maybe a few snacks—but they wouldn't fill your stomach.

Lin Ze had seen people order food from Wanmin Restaurant, bring it into the teahouse, eat while listening to stories, then leisurely sip tea afterward.

When they were done, the attendants would clear the table and return the dishes to Wanmin.

It looked comfortable.

He decided to do the same.

Meanwhile, Kirara had already verified her identity and was escorted into the Jade Chamber.

She finally met Tianquan Ningguang in person and personally handed over the package.

Once opened, the parcel revealed a letter—and a smaller envelope inside it.

The smaller envelope bore the Electro Mitsudomoe, sealed with dense elemental power.

Ningguang immediately began reading the letter.

Kirara, however, didn't leave.

She wasn't just here for work—she had a mission.

She needed to locate Lin Ze and wait for Ningguang's response.

And since Ningguang knew Lin Ze's residence, staying here was the best choice.

"Raiden Shogun wishes to visit Mr. Lin Ze…"

Ningguang narrowed her eyes slightly.

"Miss Kirara, please wait a moment. I need to report this matter to the Geo Archon."

A foreign nation's god visiting Liyue was no small affair—especially when the purpose was to meet Lin Ze.

This was far beyond what Ningguang could decide alone.

Ganyu had returned to Mt. Aocang.

Keqing was back at work, but stationed at the Ministry of Civil Affairs—and with Ganyu absent, the workload for the Qixing had only increased.

Calling Keqing up now would disrupt too much.

So Ningguang chose to report directly.

She took out a brilliantly colored incense stick, lit it, held it in her hand, and closed her eyes.

Not long after, the matter was conveyed.

When Ningguang opened her eyes again, the Electro-sealed envelope had vanished from her desk.

The incense continued to burn.

"I've already informed the Geo Archon," Ningguang said calmly.

"Miss Kirara, please have some tea and wait a little longer."

At the same time, inside Wangsheng Funeral Parlor—

Zhongli rose from his seat and returned to his room.

With a casual wave of his hand, the Electro-sealed letter appeared before him.

He broke the seal effortlessly and read the contents.

The letter was concise.

Raiden Shogun stated that she had sensed the appearance of a Descender in Liyue—

one whose existence had given her insight into a portion of Eternity.

She wished to visit and discuss the nature of Eternity with him.

She requested the Geo Archon's consent.

Zhongli let out a soft breath.

This wasn't "sensing Eternity" at all.

She clearly possessed the Diary Sub-Copy as well.

Who knew what Lin Ze had written that stirred Raiden Ei's thoughts enough to make her personally visit?

After a moment's consideration, Zhongli put the letter away and left the room.

He agreed.

It was a risk—Lin Ze could be persuaded to leave.

But Zhongli decided it was worth trying.

Perhaps he, too, could learn more from Lin Ze.

Soon after, a rock-sealed envelope materialized in the Jade Chamber before Ningguang and Kirara.

Along with it came the Geo Archon's reply, transmitted directly into Ningguang's mind.

"The Geo Archon has agreed. This is his reply.

My apologies—recent affairs have been overwhelming."

Ningguang handed the envelope to Kirara and immediately returned to her work.

Her three secretaries had been temporarily reassigned to the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

This wasn't a test—it was simply that Ningguang truly had too much to handle.

Kirara didn't complain.

Instead, she glanced at Ningguang with admiration before carefully putting the letter away.

She hesitated for a moment, then spoke.

"One more thing, if I may trouble you, Lady Tianquan…

Could you tell me where Mr. Lin Ze lives?"

"I'm very curious about him. I'd like to meet him in person."

As she spoke, Kirara opened her diary sub-copy panel.

Ningguang merely glanced at it, then wrote down Lin Ze's address and handed it over.

The Geo Archon had already approved Raiden Shogun's visit—

letting Kirara know Lin Ze's residence was hardly an issue.

It would also make reporting back easier.

Clearly, both Raiden Shogun and Kirara were diary holders.

"Thank you, Lady Tianquan."

Kirara bowed and turned to leave.

Her heart brimmed with respect.

So this is the Liyue Qixing…

The workload alone was staggering—documents piled so high they nearly obscured Ningguang herself.

Everyone in the Jade Chamber moved with urgency, almost running from task to task.

These are good officials.

Kirara respected Ningguang deeply.

She respected the Qixing even more—especially after briefly spotting Keqing during identity verification.

'If we slow down, the work will never end.'

That phrase was practically carved into her soul as Keqing charged through her duties.

With reverence in her heart, Kirara left the Jade Chamber.

She memorized the address on the paper, then carefully stored it inside her Vision.

This was valuable information—extremely valuable.

Perfect for reporting back to the Shogun.

"Next up… meeting Mr. Lin Ze."

Kirara smiled faintly.

"I wonder what kind of person he really is."

After descending via the floating platform, she asked the attendant guarding it for directions based on Ningguang's address.

Checking the sky, she headed straight toward the destination.

Whether Lin Ze was home or not didn't matter.

Waiting outside his door was foolproof.

She could even revert to her true form and bask in the sun while waiting.

Whether he went out—or came home—

she'd catch him.

Meanwhile, Lin Ze—fully stuffed—was listening to Tian Tiezui's storytelling.

All while quietly pondering one very important question:

Just how much should a Gnosis really cost?
