Elwyn's POV,
Jackie's reply came
quickly.
"Elwyn, I don't
think that's necessary. Elian has carefully considered everything, and we
believe a 50-50 split is reasonable given the scale of your investment. You
have to understand, your financial contribution is significant."
I took a deep breath.
He still didn't understand or didn't want to acknowledge the difference between
financial contribution and the risks involved in construction. I felt trapped
in a difficult situation. Jackie might think he's helping me, but this was a
business contract, and it needed to be fair.
"Jackie, I'm not
denying that the financial investment is important, but I still believe the
current profit-sharing ratio doesn't accurately reflect the contributions of
both parties. Your company is taking on the main risk during construction, which
deserves a larger share of the profits. We're not directly involved in the
construction process, which lowers our risk burden."
