Akira walked through the streets of Tokyo alone, wearing a high-neck jacket with his signature red buttons that had the face of a demon engraved in it.
His red and black hair fluttered softly in the night breeze as the soft patter of rain fell onto his hair.
"There doesn't seem to be any more curses in this area... Speaking of, how did that guy manage to release thousands of cursed spirits? Was it his technique?"
Akira looked up at the sky as he came to a stop, wondering out loud as the corpse of a dozen cursed spirits ranging from grade 2 to 1 dissipated behind him into ash.
It hasn't been much time since they were apparently at "War" with Suguru Geto. It has been only an hour or two since it began.
After the war started, he was transported to Tokyo as part of the main defence line; he had just been guarding everything here while taking out some curses.
On the other hand, Yuka and Maki were stationed in Kyoto since that area was much weaker in terms of Sorcerers, needing all the help they could get.
Plus, Gojo was sent to an entirely different city since three Special Grade cursed spirits were apparently released by Geto to wreak havoc, which needed to be taken care of urgently.
Especially since Japan just experienced a massive fight that was taken as a terrorist attack, not even a year ago, due to Hakari and Akira.
I Look Up As I Walk~
So That The Tears Won't Fall~
Suddenly, Akira heard his phone ring.
Taking his phone out, Akira raised a confused eyebrow as he saw Utahime calling him. Lately, she had been calling him almost every day to talk about some random things.
Though he didn't think this was the appropriate time to call, especially with all these curses around. He doesn't like how Utahime keeps calling him every day to talk about things.
It's not like they're a couple or anything at all. Of course, Akira is not dumb; he knows she likes him from a mile away, but he doesn't reciprocate those feelings.
Yuka and Maki wouldn't like that either if they knew about it. Thankfully, he didn't tell them.
"Hello?" Akira answered the call, only to hear panting on the other side, filled with pained groans.
'What the hell?..." Akira raised an eyebrow in confusion at the weird sounds.
"Akira! We need help in Kyoto!" A scared and worried one exploded from the phone.
"Geto had lied about attacking Tokyo! Most of the curses were released in Kyoto after Gojo was led away by him, and now almost three thousand curses are rampaging here!"
Utahime practically shouted from the other side of the phone as she ran away from a group of curses.
'Geto, you freaking bastard!' Utahime looked behind her, annoyance and fear in her eyes as she saw almost a dozen ugly, deformed and car-sized curses running towards her, drool and hunger in their eyes.
"Okay, I'll be there soon, just hold out until I get there," Akira said, immediately closing his phone after speaking.
Swoosh!
With a sound akin to a knife slicing through the air, Akira vanished from place like a blur, rushing into the distance with supersonic speed.
On the other end, Utahime felt a flicker of hope reignite in her chest as she turned around the corner, breaking the curses' ankles.
'Great! With Akira assisting us in the battle, the curses will not be able to continue killing, and the other sorcerers won't be too overwhelmed and will be able to help!' Utahime thought, keeping an eye on the curses behind her.
Meanwhile...
On the other side of Kyoto, Geto walked into the school through the front gates. The two sorcerers guarding the entrance tried to stop him, but it didn't go well.
"Hey! Stop-argh!"
"W-What the hell?!-urgh!"
The two sorcerers were swarmed by centipede-type curses. Each and every centipede had the strength of at least grade 2 due to the fear of centipedes in humans.
They ripped the bodies apart, eating them until nothing but white, clean bones remained. Their mandibles clicked and battered against another, creating an eerie, clicking sound.
Boom!
In the distance, a bubble of pink cursed energy exploded outwards in a wave, slicing a dozen cursed spirits into pulp, only for another dozen to replace the dead ones.
"Damn it! How many more cursed spirits are there?!" Yuka cursed with a tired face as she jumped into the air, dodging a dozen attacks.
Bam!
She sliced down with her now cursed tool, katana, sending a slash that destroyed the ground and the curses with a loud explosion, sending debris and wind shooting out.
"Just focus and try to save your cursed energy as much as you can," Maki's voice reached Yuka further away. Her voice relaxed as she ran around, slashing curses.
Swoosh!
Maki was like a bolt of green lightning, tearing through anything or anyone that dared to cross her path. Kimitsu, attached to a chain, was like a grinder of death, sending packs of curses packing.
"BLARGHHHH!!!"
Maki looked up, shadows of varying sizes covering her as a dozen curses, the size of buses, swarmed her. The fear in their eyes was non-existent since they were under Geto's control.
Taking a deep breath, Maki raised one of her legs, and then with a sharp exhale, she stomped on the ground at full strength.
BOOM!!!
A crater dozens of meters wide exploded outward. The shockwave instantly crushed the pack of grade 2 curses, while sending sharp rubble flying outwards like bullets.
The attack, however, did nothing as the curses immediately healed since it had no cursed energy. However, Maki only needed the time to prepare another attack.
Swish!
Kimitsu, in her hand, spun, shooting jets of air from the side as the chain in her hand extended. With a sharp glint in her eyes, Maki spun around like a Beyblade, Kimitsu turning into a grinder.
Every curse in a 20-meter radius instantly died, cut into bite-sized pieces from hundreds of slashes a second.
Geto watched from a distance, an impressed grin on his face, but no matter how impressed he was, disdain and mockery were still prevalent in his pupils.
"Such strength, yet needing to rely on a weapon to even scratch a curse. Typical of a jujutsuless monkey~," Geto mocked wiht a roll of his eyes, gaining Yuka and Maki's attention.
"It's you again! Grrr, stop this, or you will regret it!" Yuka screamed from a distance, cursing in half. Geto just smiled in amusement, watching her with a cold glint.
"I'll regret this if I don't stop?... Trust me, there are many things I regret in my life, but this is not one of those things," Geto shook his head at Yuka's words, before turning her attention to Maki.
'This monkey is just like that monkey... So most likely, my curses with domains won't work... I need something to stall her before I finish with the other one.'
Geto calculated in his mind, deep disgust and hate in his eyes as he watched Maki. The figure of the man who caused his weak, naive worldview to collapse flashed in his mind.
"Luckily, I knew about her beforehand, and I managed to catch some interesting curses to do the job for me~," Geto grinned as dark shadows appeared next to him, from which five curses exited.
Five curses, made from the fear of suffocation, with bodies resembling malnourished children, massive heads, and thin necks, with a pair of cut-off hands clutching their neck, appeared, each cursed spirit Special Grade 1.
"Go and kill her," Geto commanded, causing the five cursed spirits to instantly turn into gusts of wind, rushing towards Maki.
"And this time, you'll be the Jujutsu less monkey who's gonna die~," Geto's lips curled up, his grin reaching his ears as his teeth flashed coldly in the air.
