Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 : From today on, call me E-Devil

"I haven't read much, so I can't say anything eloquent. I can only give you a big thumbs up and shout '666' twice."

"Dora, you're so f*cking awesome, so f*cking handsome."

Little Fatty gave two thumbs up, looking at the Heavy Tomorrow Mark III Exoskeleton Armor in front of him.

A flurry of compliments made Dora's lips curl upward; he was practically floating.

This set of exoskeleton Power Armor was five meters tall.

Critical vital points were covered by thick armor plates.

It utilized limb-driven sensing and neural interface control methods.

It was equipped with a powerful Chain Axe and multi-barreled laser.

There was also a Chainsword, a veritable battlefield killer.

Though rudimentary, it already had the Prototype of a mech.

After a few more iterations, it would definitely evolve into a mech.

Dora Workshop has a promising future.

"The battery life is a bit poor," Dora said. "You need to keep an eye on the battery at all times, don't wait until it breaks down to replace it."

"No problem, I've already talked to Blood Pigeon, and once the war starts, they'll prioritize us, air-dropping ammunition boxes and energy cells for us."

Dora nodded, "I tested the performance."

"There aren't any major issues, but details like controls need battlefield data feedback for optimization."

"After the war, remember to bring me the data disk."

Little Fatty made an OK gesture.

"Don't worry, even if I don't make it back, the data disk will be sent back to you."

Dora opened the exoskeleton's armor plate, revealing the cockpit inside, and said to Little Fatty, "Go in and try it."

Little Fatty climbed into the driver's seat and connected to the control system.

He had previously had a neural interface installed by Father Tina, which was now coming in handy.

As he pressed the activation button, the exoskeleton armor was activated.

A large amount of data flowed into the Thinker System.

Information such as augur, ammunition, and battery was displayed intuitively on Little Fatty's HUD panel.

"Piloting a mech is every boy's dream."

"Now my dream has come true. Praise the Emperor, praise the omnissiah."

Little Fatty shouted excitedly.

He controlled the exoskeleton to walk around a few times.

Then, he suddenly threw a punch with immense force, enough to tear a person apart.

Little Fatty then activated the Chainsword on his wrist.

The rapidly rotating sharp saw blades made the air emit a piercing screech.

"It's great, I can't wait to go on a rampage."

"This thing will definitely tear through those enemies' bodies with ease."

Dora stood a little further away to avoid accidental injury.

"Glad you're satisfied, remember to pay the final balance promptly."

"Don't worry, once I'm offline, I'll transfer the money to your bank account."

Customizing the Tomorrow Mark III Exoskeleton Armor was not cheap.

Little Fatty didn't have enough contribution points, so they agreed that part of the payment would be made with Holy Terra (Earth/Reality) currency.

"You each pick one and get in."

Little Fatty told his teammates to choose one of the remaining four sets of Heavy Tomorrow Mark III.

After mastering the controls, they put on the exoskeleton armor and walked out of Dora Workshop, heading towards the Imperial Glory.

Compared to the Imperial Knight mech, the Heavy Tomorrow Mark III Exoskeleton was incredibly rudimentary.

Some hydraulic pipes and batteries were exposed, exuding a rough and wild aura.

But such a behemoth still attracted the attention of Players along the way.

"Holy crap, it's so cool."

"Damn it, I want one too."

"So big, so fierce, so much to love."

"Envy, jealousy, and hatred."

"…"

Little Fatty swaggered past the Players, driving the Heavy Tomorrow Mark III with a triumphant look on his face.

Father Tina, who was checking the various systems of the space station, saw this scene from the monitor.

The crude structure and design were nothing short of blasphemy and offense to the omnissiah.

If it were anyone else, Tina would have ordered the Heavy Cavalry Servitors and Skitarii soldiers to execute them.

But these guys were God Chosen, chosen by the omnissiah.

Targeting the God Chosen was an act of betrayal against the omnissiah.

"Why are they the omnissiah's God Chosen, yet they still offend the omnissiah's creations in this way?"

A question she had never considered before surfaced in Father Tina's mind.

Would the omnissiah truly be angry if someone modified STC creations?

Or were those so-called regulations just rules concocted by those old guys on Mars themselves?

The omnissiah didn't acknowledge them at all, which was why the God Chosen could freely alter His creations.

Father Tina began to question the Adeptus Mechanicus of Mars.

Perhaps, she too could be like those God Chosen.

Using her own wisdom to improve the mechanical creations left behind by the omnissiah.

Imperial Glory, Praying Sanctuary.

Alex prayed before the Emperor's statue and opened his personal data panel.

He checked his gains so far.

His current level was 10, and his physical fitness could be considered that of a minor superman.

Buff Skills: Frenzy, Blessing, Purification, Roar, Prayer, Rational Aura, Shield of Faith, Soothe Machine Spirit, Emperor's Light.

Passive Skills: Melee Combat (Mastery), One-Handed Sword (Mastery), Two-Handed Sword (Proficient), Throwing (Proficient), Warp Sense, Warp Siphon.

Active Skills: Psychic Flame Burst, Ethereal Shard, Mind Touch.

Equipment: Arcane Link Power Armor, Departmento Munitorum One-Handed Power Sword, Locke Spearhead Pattern Bolter, and the Holy Judgement Blade rewarded by the Emperor.

After reviewing, Alex closed his personal information panel.

He prayed to the Emperor to exchange for gene-seed.

He wanted to be promoted to Astartes.

Because he was about to participate in the war on the surface of Planet Atoma.

He needed stronger power to break the loyalists' disadvantaged situation.

Previously, his Faith Points had been completely depleted because he needed to upgrade his psychic abilities.

However, the Players would give a portion of the Faith Points they gained from killing each enemy to Alex.

Therefore, his Faith Points quickly accumulated again.

Soon, he had enough Faith Points for promotion.

"I wonder what kind of gene-seed suits me; please don't let it be from a traitor Primarch."

If he got the gene-seed of legions like the World Eaters or Thousand Sons,

Then, he would have to call those rebellious scumbags 'father' in the future.

Just thinking about it made Alex feel terrible.

As he prayed, a beam of light fell upon Alex.

The surrounding environment also twisted and changed.

When everything returned to normal, Alex found himself in a magnificent city.

The city was incredibly grand, with buildings of various styles towering within it.

A black star with a golden edge floated in the sky.

"The Emperor's Sanctuary?"

Alex had seen Tenjiro's strategy post in the group chat.

It described how Players, after dying and resurrecting, would pass through a beautiful giant city.

It was suspected to be the Emperor's Sanctuary—the City of Dust.

Heavy footsteps sounded.

Alex turned his head and saw a golden-armored warrior walk up behind him.

The other party had a resolute and handsome face.

His voice was full of majesty and power.

"You have completed your mission admirably, child."

"Who are you?" Alex asked.

"I have had many names, each with its own story; now some call me the King in Yellow."

"The King in Yellow? The first commander of the Custodes, one of the Imperial Triumvirate, Valdor?" Alex's eyes widened. "How are you here?"

"It seems you know me well, but I am not at liberty to tell you any truth."

Valdor said, "My duty is to Guide you to receive the gift that has long been prepared."

"Gift??" Alex looked puzzled.

"This way."

Valdor gestured for Alex to follow him.

Alex looked around, then stepped forward and followed.

They passed through several empty streets and arrived at a magnificent plaza.

In the plaza were twenty grand, sky-reaching pillars.

Dark golden light streamed down from the massive star in the sky, connecting to the tops of the pillars.

The surfaces of the pillars also bore different patterns.

The first pillar had a sword and wings.

The second was smooth and new, without any patterns.

The third was the Imperial Aquila emblem.

The fourth was a metal helmet.

Alex quickly determined that those patterns were the emblems of the Astartes Legions from the Great Crusade era.

The twenty pillars represented the twenty legions.

"Do I need to choose one?" Alex asked.

Valdor shook his head, "No need, keep moving forward."

Beyond the twenty grand, sky-reaching pillars, Alex saw a magnificent high platform.

On the platform was a golden throne.

A bright ball of light floated above the throne.

"Go, receive your gift." Valdor pointed his hand towards the light ball.

"You're not going to trick me into sitting on the throne, are you?!" Alex asked with some caution.

"You are not worthy to replace my Lord." Valdor replied without any emotional fluctuation.

Alex: "..."

Although it was the truth, stating it so bluntly was a bit too hurtful.

"Hurry, don't waste time." Valdor said, "You cannot stay too long, or those fellows will be drawn here."

Alex walked towards the throne and reached out to touch the light ball.

The next second, countless voices suddenly exploded in his ears.

Old people, children, men, women, kings, beggars, rich people, commoners.

Countless voices sounded, yet it seemed like only one voice.

Innumerable dark truths and knowledge poured into Alex's mind.

Then quickly slipped away from his mind.

Alex felt as if he was being constantly kneaded and reshaped by an immense force.

This process lasted for a long time, yet it felt like only an instant had passed.

When Alex came to his senses, he looked around.

He found himself still standing before the statue in the Praying Sanctuary.

The magnificent giant city was gone, and Valdor was also gone.

The holographic projection interface floating nearby showed that only a few minutes had passed.

Alex stretched out his hand and noticed his changes.

His original height was 175 centimeters.

Now, he was nearly 3.5 meters tall, a true little giant.

His muscles were strong and well-developed, thick and powerful.

Taking a deep breath, he could feel surging power flowing within his body.

"Promoting to Astartes only takes a few minutes? This speed is too fast, isn't it?"

"Did I ascend to a demon?"

Alex's mouth fell open.

He always felt that he hadn't ascended to Astartes, but rather to a demon.

The entire Astartes surgical process takes a year.

He finished it in a few minutes.

What else could it be if not ascending to a demon?

At this moment, in front of the magnificent shrine, two flashes of light appeared.

Tenjiro and Twisted person came online.

As soon as they opened their eyes, they saw Alex, who had just finished his promotion and was adapting to his new abilities and strength.

His three-meter-tall body, with its bulging muscles, looked like a deity from ancient mythology.

Just looking at him was incredibly imposing.

"Did the Guide promote to Astartes?"

"You're stupid, Astartes aren't that tall; this is clearly a Primarch."

"My goodness, wow, I didn't come online for a day, and the Guide turned into an E-class demon."
