Chapter 16 - CHAPTER 15

It's time to get off work.

Leonard knocked on the office door, then leaned halfway in and said, "Hi, what are you guys up to?"

"Nothing much." Raj was taken aback, and quickly put the draft of the calculation away, while winking at Howard.

Howard understood, and quickly put away the draft.

"What the hell are you doing?" Leonard asked in confusion when he saw this.

"It's nothing, just doing a little research." Raj grinned and said, "What are you going to do?"

"Oh, I'm off work, I want to ask you to have dinner together." Leonard laughed.

"Sorry, we may not have time." Raj waved his hand and declined.

His and Howard's calculation was at a critical moment, and time couldn't be delayed, so they planned to buy a hamburger and settle down, and then continue to work.

"Are you okay?" Leonard frowned, his doubts deepening.

"It's nothing, it's just work." Howard smiled.

"Okay then." Leonard backed out.

Raj continued to work with Howard. Around seven o'clock, Raj's cell phone rang.

"Honey, where are you?" The call was from Penny.

"I'm still working, and a research project is at a critical moment." Raj explained.

"That's it, then I'll find a show myself." Penny said with some regret.

"Well, I'm sorry. Next time something like this happens, I will call you in advance." Raj also said apologetically.

"Okay, that's alright, bye, sweety." Penny then hung up the phone.

"Dude, I really admire you. You're actually busy with work here even when you could have a girl to accompany you." Howard teased with envy and jealousy.

"Howie, once our invention is successfully developed, let alone a little beauty like Penny, even a Victoria's Secret angel will come after us." Raj pointed out.

"It makes sense." Howard nodded in agreement when he heard it, then licked his lips, and said very lewdly,

"I really don't know what it's like to be with a Victoria's Secret angel."

"Don't think about it, it's important to work quickly." Raj was disgusted by him, and quickly reminded.

They were busy until late at night before they left school and went home separately. And their calculations were still not complete.

This let Raj know the gap between him and Sheldon.

After being inspired by Leonard, Sheldon completed all the calculations and finished writing the paper in less than one night.

He and Howard had been working for nearly twelve hours, and the calculation was only half done so far.

If they wanted to complete all the calculations, even if it went well, it would take at least three days. Compared to Sheldon, he was really far behind.

But even so, Raj still didn't intend to ask him for help.

Back home, Raj fell asleep after washing up a bit.

Today he had done a full day of research, overworked his brain, and was so sleepy that he fell asleep as soon as he touched the pillow.

He didn't know how long he'd been asleep when suddenly, Raj was awakened by a heavy knock on the door.

He shivered involuntarily, then climbed out of bed and pulled a baseball bat from under it.

The law and order environment in the United States wasn't very good. Robbery, theft, and extortion were very common.

In the show, Sheldon and Leonard had encountered theft many times.

Raj came to the door with the baseball bat in his hand, looked out through the peephole, and saw Penny standing outside. Messy clothes and sleepy eyes.

Raj opened the door quickly and immediately smelled a strong odor of alcohol and the sour smell of vomit, which made him want to gag.

"My God, how much did you drink?" He held his breath while helping her in.

"It's okay, I'm not drunk," Penny said foolishly. "Bring more wine, let's drink again."

Seeing her drunk like this, Raj couldn't help frowning.

To be honest, he still preferred self-disciplined girls.

In spite of this, Raj endured the smell of alcohol, helped Penny change her dirty clothes, then ran water for her bath, and warmed milk to help with the hangover.

After everything was done, he sent her to bed. Wrapped in a quilt, he curled up on the sofa for the night.

The next day, Penny woke up and saw herself lying in Raj's bed. She was a little puzzled.

Last night she had asked her friends to go to karaoke, and she drank while singing. In the end, she was so drunk that she didn't know how she got back.

She scratched her head, climbed out of bed, came to the living room, and saw breakfast on the dining table: sausages, fried eggs, and toast.

There was a water glass and medicine bottle beside them, and a piece of paper was pressed under the bottle.

Penny picked up the paper and looked at it, and saw that it said,

"Honey, I'm going to work first, and seeing that you are sleeping soundly, I can't bear to wake you up. Breakfast is on the table, it may be a little cold, remember to heat it in the microwave. Do not eat cold, it is not good for the stomach. The bottle is filled with liver protection medicine, just take two pills at a time. Remember, don't drink so much alcohol in the future, it is not good for your health."

The inscription is Raj who loves you, and a heart is drawn beside it.

"Oh~" Seeing this affectionate note, Penny's heart almost melted.

She has dated so many boyfriends, but she has never met someone as gentle and considerate as Raj. She was really moved.

In the next few days, Raj and Howard worked on complex calculations.

But there are a few data points the two of them just can't figure out, which makes them quite frustrated.

"I can't help it. I think I can only ask Sheldon for help." Howard calculated for a long time and sharpened his pencil more than a dozen times, but still couldn't figure it out, and couldn't help complaining.

"Don't worry, even if you want to ask someone for help, you don't have to ask Sheldon." Raj waved his hand. He admitted that he was not as smart as Sheldon, but he also believed that Sheldon would not be the smartest person at Caltech.

In the show, there are many people whose IQ is not inferior to him, or even higher than him. For example, the fifteen-year-old North Korean prodigy, Leslie Winkle, Barry Kripke, Amy Farrah Fowler, and the Soviet janitor.

"Then who do you have in mind?" Howard asked curiously. Raj made some calculations, and first ruled out the North Korean prodigy, Amy Farrah Fowler, and Barry Kripke.

The North Korean prodigy has not yet appeared, and her character is even worse than Sheldon's, which is just as unbearable.

Amy Farrah Fowler also did not show up, and after all, she has a Ph.D. in neurobiology, and is somewhat removed from physics.

Barry Kripke is a sinister and selfish villain.

In the show, Leonard and Howard cooperated with him on the communication system, but he took away all the research results.

Learning from the canon, Raj will naturally not make the same mistake again.

Therefore, there are only two candidates left, one is the Soviet janitor, and the other is Leslie Winkle.

Comparing the two, Raj prefers to cooperate with Leslie Winkle.
