Chapter 374 - GAM Ch 374: Five Kids, One Sofa, and a Cat Who Judges Them All

"Nothing. We did not do anything, Uncle Siegel."

"Dad, why are you back."

Lacus and Athrun hurriedly stood up.

After straightening their clothes, Lacus stood obediently beside Siegel, while Athrun looked somewhat bewildered.

"Hello, Uncle Siegel."

Nicol, Yzak, and Dearka stood obediently together.

Siegel looked at the children, especially Athrun, and felt a headache coming on.

Patrick, did you instruct your little wild boar to steal my cabbage.

Damn it.

Politically, you have already gone left, and you still send your little wild boar to steal my cabbage.

You are still determined to annex my Clyne family.

But my Clyne family's cabbage is not stolen that easily.

I will teach my daughter a lesson and get her to bring your little wild boar over.

Then you, Patrick, will not only have to compensate for the little wild boar but also lose some dowry money.

Siegel imagined Patrick's furious expression in his mind, revealing a perverted smile.

"Father, what is wrong."

Siegel had accidentally chuckled out of excitement, but hearing his daughter's question, he quickly reverted to his usual self.

"Oh, nothing."

Siegel looked at the mess of props on the ground and asked Lacus, Athrun, and the others, "What are you going to do with all this stuff."

Lacus replied, "We are planning to test Garfield's intelligence, but he is hiding on the cat tree and will not come down. Father, can you help us."

Two meters was a great height for a five or six year old, but for a tall, strong adult like Siegel, it was just a matter of reaching out.

"Okay."

Siegel nodded, walked to the cat tree, and reached out to grab the cat that had driven this self proclaimed master thinker, educator, and philosopher to the brink of madness and forced him to compromise with his old rival.

Garfield deftly dodged Siegel's outstretched hand.

He tried to catch Garfield again.

Garfield dodged again.

He tried again.

Garfield dodged again.

After several rounds of this, Siegel, who had initially thought he could easily catch Garfield, had to face the reality that he was not as fast as the orange cat.

How could a doting father fail in front of his daughter.

"Orange cat, do not move."

How could he allow a grown man like him to hold his noble feline body.

Garfield jumped down from the cat tree, transforming into an orange lightning bolt, soaring over the pink head and landing on Athrun's shoulder.

Jumping again, Garfield kicked Nicol and then hid under the sofa.

Hmph.

How could a mere two legged creature be a match for him.

Garfield escaped perfectly, leaving Siegel's empty hands outstretched to catch the cat.

Lacus, Athrun, Nicol, Yzak, and Dearka ignored Siegel and surrounded the sofa.

"Little kitty, come out."

"Garfield, come out."

"Hey, there is some dried fish here."

"You stinky cat, if you do not come out, I will hit you."

"Garfield, be good and come out, and I will give you something fun."

Lacus, Athrun, Nicol, Yzak, and Dearka took turns showering Garfield with sweet talk.

Garfield remained unmoved, simply finding a spot under the sofa out of their reach and squinting his eyes.

Why did they not move the sofa first.

This was a man made cylindrical colony.

For safety, all the furniture was fixed to the ground to prevent unnecessary property damage in case of gravity imbalances or other accidents.

Faced with Garfield hiding under the sofa, Siegel chose to temporarily retreat, giving the children time and space.

"Alright, kids, Garfield is down. Just sit around the sofa and wait for him to come out. I have things to do, so you can play by yourselves."

"Okay, Dad."

"Uncle Siegel, we know."

After Siegel left, Lacus pulled Athrun's arm. "Athrun, what do we do now."

Athrun scratched his chin, thought for a moment, and then asked Lacus, who was waiting beside him. "Lacus, what does Garfield usually like."

"Eating and sleeping."

"That is it."

"That is all."

"Okay then, let us find some of his favorite food and put it here, and Garfield will come out naturally."

Lacus nodded. "Okay."

With Lacus's command, Nicol, Yzak, and Dearka were sent out as tools to find the butler and get some of Garfield's usual food.

It was nothing more than cat food and dried fish.

Garfield did not care about these things.

He was joking.

He thought, I only eat your so called cat food and dried fish when I am desperate.

Since regaining some of his magical powers, Garfield outwardly ate cat food, but secretly he had been putting everything in his pocket.

He had been eating his own Star Wars universe rations or having his butler prepare some delicacies for him.

The reason he had not left was to wait.

To see the five new Gundams.

Strike, Aegis, Blitz, Duel, and Buster.

Ten years from now.

He would pack up the data and leave.

As for Athrun's eventual resolution, Garfield decided to help him remove his hat, win over a beautiful and wealthy woman, and reach the pinnacle of power as compensation.

While Garfield was brainstorming, Nicol, Yzak, and Dearka had taken some cat food, dried fish, nutritional paste, a piece of grilled fish, and a chicken leg from the butler.

After distributing all the food, Lacus, Athrun, Nicol, Yzak, and Dearka each took a type of food and placed it by the sofa, waiting for Garfield to walk right into their trap.

Hmph.

Garfield thought, what have I not eaten.

You think I will be tempted by these little treats.

Garfield's sense of smell was far superior to that of ordinary cats, and the enticing aroma of the food made him lick his lips.

Damn it.

How could mere dried fish, cat food, and nutritional paste possibly sway this king's heart.

It had to be at least grilled fish and chicken legs.

Within five minutes, Garfield's taste buds were relentlessly stimulating his gluttonous nerves.

It was delicious food.

As an orange tabby, letting such food slowly cool was a sin.

As a demigod, one must save the souls of those dead fish and chickens.

A bite of them would atone for one's sins.

A bite of them would allow one to transcend the mortal world.

Just one bite, and he would help them.

Rubbing his belly and wiping the drool from his mouth, Garfield reluctantly volunteered. "Alright, I understand. I will transcend them right now. It is no big deal."

At his speed, those kids definitely could not catch him.
