Chapter 329 - GAM Ch 329: A Mentor Is a Mentor... Wait, Why Am I Still Doing This?

"Oh my god, what is this?"

"So ugly."

"So scary."

"So cute."

A group of people turned to look at the Slytherin student with the unusual taste.

He seemed completely unconcerned, causing the others to instinctively keep their distance.

Garfield pointed to his simulated deformed creature and explained to the students, "This is a future form of a wizard dominated by dark magic. If you are lucky, it might look a little better."

Tom Riddle could tell that Garfield used the word "it" instead of "him."

This highlighted the vast difference between the two states.

One was human.

The other was no longer human.

"Tom, and that student with unusual tastes, and everyone here, I hope you remember this. Do not go down this path."

After saying this, Garfield deliberately gave young Voldemort another look.

Young Voldemort, despite his limited magical abilities, still had good eyesight.

He instantly understood Garfield's warning.

As for the student with unusual tastes, Tom decided to stay away from him for now.

Such a person was currently fatal to his own carefully crafted image.

After giving young Voldemort a little lesson, Garfield slipped away.

He left the rest of the time for the students to discuss among themselves.

Young Voldemort watched Garfield vanish without a trace with envy.

He knew that Hogwarts was protected by a protective charm that prevented wizards from Apparating.

This meant Garfield's magic was special, perhaps even powerful enough to exceed this rule.

The powerful, mysterious, and noble young Tom increasingly regretted not boarding this ultra luxurious spaceship.

Life at Hogwarts continued.

Garfield began traveling between the United States, Britain, Norway, and Wakanda.

He not only took care of his family but also dealt with the ever increasing number of tedious tasks assigned to him.

Although opening a portal did not require much power, the annoyance was overwhelming.

Finally, Garfield decided he did not want to waste so much magic.

He occasionally used the temples in New York and London for travel instead.

The Ancient One's life was relatively leisurely.

Her reputation, built over hundreds of years, meant that only a very few fools or unlucky souls who encountered a sudden time tunnel and came to Earth were utterly destroyed by the Ancient One or the wizards of Kamar Taj.

Garfield's days were leisurely.

Meanwhile, a new round of competition between Grindelwald and Dumbledore began.

Dumbledore's counterattack was swift and powerful, causing Grindelwald to suffer a minor setback.

However, Grindelwald was at the height of his power.

With the help of his European forces, he successfully curbed Dumbledore's counterattack.

Grindelwald had inquired about Hela's indifference.

She simply replied, "Do not bother me with your wizarding trifles."

Power breeds arrogance, does it not?

Grindelwald knew Hela's special status and strength.

Out of respect for Garfield, he did not pursue the matter further.

He simply gathered his followers to begin his next plan.

Dumbledore understood Grindelwald's intentions perfectly.

Therefore, after his counterattack was suppressed, he abandoned some unstable territories.

He consolidated his forces and preserved a few key strongholds.

This prevented further disruption to Grindelwald in the short term.

Dumbledore's uncharacteristic actions left Grindelwald somewhat perplexed.

Grindelwald believed he understood Dumbledore, but now he was confused.

"What exactly is Dumbledore doing?"

After pondering for a long time without figuring it out, he remembered that his spy in the Hogsmeade pub had been sent to the Forbidden Forest by Garfield with a single wave of his paw.

He could not help but sigh inwardly.

"A mentor is a mentor indeed. So powerful."

After a moment of stunned silence in the hall, Grindelwald began his speech.

"Fellow countrymen, our cause of breaking the shackles of the old laws is progressing steadily. Those conservative forces are gathering to try to hinder us."

Grindelwald's speech was extremely rousing.

The supporters around him looked at him with admiration.

The meeting did not last long.

After sending his men out, Grindelwald summoned his trusted lieutenants, the black and white duo.

"You continue leading men to find the Three Holy Relics."

The black and white duo replied, "Yes, sir."

Grindelwald, despite the apparent chaos, was ultimately focused on finding the Three Holy Relics.

Nothing else mattered.

A schemer's job is to use various pretexts to achieve his desired goals.

As for why he did not seek out Garfield but instead persisted, even Grindelwald himself sometimes felt confused about his own actions.

Occasional moments of confusion would not deter Grindelwald for long.

He would continue on this path until he was defeated by Dumbledore or until he defeated Dumbledore and reached the very end.

After a period of turmoil, Dumbledore returned to the school he had not visited for some time.

It was now close to Christmas.

Christmas is a Western holiday.

In the future, apart from the Green Ghouls, other countries would use it as an excuse to hold events and make money.

In this era, it only spread within their own religious sphere and a small number of places.

Although the wizarding world considered Merlin the greatest wizard and constantly talked about Merlin's beard, that did not mean they did not celebrate Christmas.

On the contrary, their celebrations were no different from those of Muggles.

One thing Garfield did not like about Christmas was that it was winter.

Cats do not like winter.

It was cold to feel his soft cat paws on the floor.

Even though he was a Flerken disguised as an orange cat, his feline soul resisted the winter.

With the cold weather and fewer classes, Garfield spent most of his time curled up by the fireplace in his room.

He sprawled on the soft, thick cushions.

His two soft white paws were tucked into his lap.

Inside the fireplace, the flames were magically controlled, making the wood burn much longer than normal wood.

The thick stone of the castle also blocked much of the outside cold.

With hidden runes and spells, Hogwarts felt much warmer inside than outside.

The temperature was noticeably higher.

It was even warmer where Garfield was.

The huge dragon model on the fireplace in his bedroom was alive.

Garfield had sensed it during his time living there.

But he was not particularly interested in these figurines.

Just look at the palm sized Hungarian Horntail covered in sharp spikes from Harry Potter.

You can tell that most things in the wizarding world are alive.

The dragon model did not seem to bother Garfield either.

Both the cat and the figurine had something in common.

They loved staying by the warm fireplace.

While Garfield was enjoying the warmth, a round faced, chubby Scottish hen with a letter hanging from its beak flew to the windowsill outside Garfield's window.
