{FIRST PERSON POV}
{JAUNE ARC}
Dinner is silent, to say the least.
It turns out that it is really hard for someone to start a conversation when their father has just cried before dinner.
I tried multiple times to start a conversation with anyone. Even with Blancheur... Blancheur. My quiet sister. I was so desperate for anyone to respond that I tried to talk to someone who would not usually talk in this kind of situation.
At this point, if a Grimm crashed through the roof and landed right on our dinner table, it would be much, much preferable to whatever is happening right now.
"So... um... Jaune... how was your day?" My eyes widened when I heard Jeanne's voice.
"Oh... my goodness." I swallowed and forced myself to stay composed. "My day has been fine, Jeanne, as usual."
I cut a piece of my food and ate it before continuing.
"Mrs. Brown is pregnant with her first child, it turns out. She told me while I was mowing her lawn."
"Really? That's good for her, Jaune. I hope the pregnancy will be easy on her." Jeanne smiled, and it managed to bring some life back to the table.
"How far along is she?" Saphron asked, but before I could answer, Mom spoke.
"What is her address, Jaune? I would love to visit her and help. As someone who has given birth to eight wonderful children, I know a thing or two about pregnancy and how to take care of the body during it."
"Well, Mom, Mrs. Brown lives in the-"

### {MORDRED'S POV}
I watched Jaune try his best to break the silence, and it was painful because nobody responded to him.
He did not say anything to me, because he knew that if he did, I would start running my mouth at the others about this situation. He has known me like that since day one.
Thankfully, Jeanne spoke up, because I was about to grab my plate and Jaune's plate and take them to my room. I could not stand the atmosphere they had created in this room.
It was just Dad crying, and it was strange and unnerving, but as long as nobody was hurt, I did not care if he cried.
He never cared if Jaune cried because of him, so why should I care? I honestly do not think anyone in this family cares about Jaune as much as I do.
They would do their best for his safety, and I cannot deny that.
But would they care enough to help Jaune achieve his dream of becoming a Huntsman? No, they would not. Saphron loves Jaune, but she cannot do much for Huntsman-related things, because she is training to be a doctor, for Dust's sake.
Artoria, that cold bitch, would snitch on Dad because she thinks Jaune cannot survive as a Huntsman. She cares about Jaune's safety, but she does not care enough about what Jaune wants. She is a good sister to him, but she is not the best.
The only one among the brats who can help Jaune is Jeanne, and even she cannot do much even if she wants to. Dad trains her every day, and she cannot do what I do and train with Jaune alone in the cave, because she still needs training herself.
I focused on eating while listening to them talk about Mrs. Brown being pregnant.
Why is her name Brown? First it was Wood, then Rock, and now Brown. Did someone run out of names or something?
(I did. I did run out of names. I used up my creative juice to create names for the OCs in the next arc.)
I sighed. If I ever had a child, I would give them a creative name, like Correalus Arc. It was a mouthful, but it sounded majestic.
"How about you, Mordred? Are you going to join us?" My head lifted because I did not catch what they had been talking about.
"What? Yeah." I nodded and glanced around, trying to figure out who asked. I thought it was Mom or Saphron.
Mom chuckled, so I assumed it had been her.
"Well, I was asking if you want to go out with us tomorrow," Saphron said, which meant it was her.
"I said yes, didn't I? I'm not deaf, you dumb bit-" I cut myself off when I felt Jaune pinch my thigh.
I was about to snap at him, but he tilted his head slightly toward Mom.
I looked over and saw Mom glaring at me while covering Olivia's ears.
Right. The baby. I could not curse in front of Olivia, or Mom and Jaune would start lecturing me.
I held my tongue and forced the words out more carefully.
"Yeah, I'll go."
