{Mordred's POV}
Is it wrong that I want to beat the living shit out of my little brother? Well, he's annoying me a lot, going out alone-by himself-without me. And look what that got him: a broken arm and cracked ribs.
If he hadn't miraculously unlocked his Aura, I wouldn't even have a brother to beat the living fuck out of right now.
I chuckle darkly.
Jaune, when I get my hands on you... you'll finally experience the great and best Mordred Arc's full power. I can already imagine shooting lightning at him.
Unlimited power.
"Hehehehehheheheheheh."
After a few more seconds of laughing, I cough into my hands, because there are more urgent things to deal with.
"Okay, let's talk about what's important now, Jaune." I point at his broken arm. "How the fuck are we going to hide that?"
Jaune looks at me like I'm the dumbass. "Uh... maybe fake falling down the stairs?"
Falling down the stairs. That's really the best he can come up with? Unless we managed to trick Noir into "accidentally" pushing Jaune down the stairs, it would still be stupid. Why would he want to injure himself more? I really do have a dumb brother-a dumb brother who somehow discovers new ways to use his Aura-but he's still dumb.
I sigh and shake my head. "So you want to injure yourself more and risk undoing all the work your Aura has done to heal your bones?"
He nods. "Well... maybe we could fake it? Like, you know... if you don't want me to actually fall down, then maybe you could just tell Mom that I broke my arm falling down the stairs?"
I let out a tired sigh. This dumb kid. "And after that? What happens when I tell Mom that? She'll personally check you for injuries, and then-surprise-she finds broken ribs, a broken arm, torn muscles, and other shit. How would you explain that?"
Jaune's eyes widen, then he sighs. Thank the Brothers, because it looks like my brother doesn't have brain damage. His three brain cells are finally working.
"Well... I don't know, then. It would probably take a month to heal my body," he says, palming his face.
"Well, from what I felt when I checked you, your injuries are about twenty percent healed already." As soon as I say that, Jaune lifts his head so fast he hurts his ribs again.
"Ow... what do you mean by that?" he asks, clutching his side.
"Your Aura is, like... the best quality I've ever seen. Seriously, it's high quality. For example, do you remember when I activate my Aura and it's slightly translucent? Yours is really bright and dense-almost impossible to see through. And from what I can guess, you have a huge amount of it too, more than a normal Arc would have... but that's just a feeling. I could be wrong." I finish talking and stand up.
"Oh... that's great, then. I really thought I was going to be stuck like this for a month." He laughs softly, then stops when he hurts his ribs again. "I really should stop doing that."
He may be dumb, but he's my dumb brother.
I shake my head. "Now that you have Aura, I'm upping the intensity of our training. Fuck the one-hit rule. It's fucking annoying having to hold myself back from pummeling your face into the ground."
I do not laugh... nuh uh.. no way Jose.. the great Mordred Arc does not laugh...
"Hehehehhehehehehehe."
He has the audacity to sigh. "Mordred... I'm still injured. Can you take it easy on me, please? At least at first?"
He really thinks he can order the great Mordred Arc around. Then he gives me those puppy eyes, and I try to resist.
Those eyes deal critical damage.
"Okay... okay. I'll take it easy on you," I say, giving in. He's lucky he's my little brother, because there's no way I'd let anyone else off that easy.
I pout and turn away from him.
"Okay, okay... how about this? After I'm healed enough to do stuff without being in pain, I'll cook your favorite food," he offers.
Damn it. How am I supposed to resist that? I'd be stupid to refuse.
I can already imagine the cheese, bacon-wrapped, juicy turkey leg.
"Ehhehehhehehehehe." I start chuckling and daydreaming, and a bit of drool slips out of the corner of my mouth before I shake my head and wipe it away.
"Okay, I'm taking that deal. But if you try to scam me... you'll face the wrath of the great Mordred."

### {Jaune's POV}
"Okay, I'm taking that deal. But if you try to scam me... you'll face the wrath of the great Mordred."
Yeah. I know what that wrath feels like. My body shivers as I remember the last time I saw her angry.
It was a few months ago, when Dad and Mordred had a huge fight. If Dad didn't have Aura-and wasn't frankly much, much stronger than her-he would've been black and blue.
The only thing Dad did during that fight was block her attacks, and then he got blindsided when Mordred unlocked her Semblance and electrocuted him.
I don't want that to happen to me. But because Dad is... Dad, he tanked it and wore Mordred down until she ran out of Aura. It was scary, and kind of impressive.
"I know. I won't try to scam you, Mordred," I say, and my body shivers again.
She nods at me with a smirk. "I know you won't, because you know what'll happen... right?" She gives me a scary smile.
I nod quickly. "Yes, ma'am!"
"Good boy." She starts laughing.
After she calms down, I ask, "How long do you think it'll take me to heal? And do I need a cast for my broken arm?"
She hums, thinking. "Probably a week and a half at minimum, judging by your Aura quality and quantity. And you won't need a cast, because Aura remembers the shape of your soul. It'll heal broken bones just fine... unless you lose a limb. Well, unless your bones turn to dust, and if that happens, you can say goodbye to them." She gently grabs my left arm. "And the bone here isn't that bad. You already realigned it, right?"
I nod, remembering how I hastily set it when I climbed back to my room. "Yeah. Is that a good thing?"
She nods. "Yeah. And focus your Aura on your injuries twenty-four seven, because it'll help the healing process. A cast could still help too, but if you can, try focusing your Aura around your whole arm so it acts like one. I don't know if it'll work, but considering you keep finding new ways to use Aura, I wouldn't be surprised."
I close my eyes and focus on my ribs and arm. My Aura glows, and after a few seconds I open my eyes.
"Okay... so a week and a half, then." I examine my left arm, which is now fully wrapped in Aura, acting like an improvised cast.
"Shit... it actually works." Mordred pokes my left arm, but she can't get past my Aura.
I let out a breath. "Mordred... I was scared, you know? When I first fought that Grimm, I didn't even use any of my fighting skill. I panicked." I look away, not wanting to see disappointment on her face, because I can't handle it if she's disappointed too.
"Jaune, look at me."
After a few seconds, she grabs my face and makes me look at her.
She isn't disappointed. She looks like she understands.
"Shut it, Jaune. You're a kid. It's fine to be scared. Even I got scared the first time Dad took me to watch him hunt a Grimm, so it's completely normal for you to be scared when you were facing one alone, with no weapon and no help." She lets go and walks to my door.
"And if you think I'm disappointed in you, I'll beat your ass even harder later. That, you can believe."
She opens the door and shuts it behind her as she leaves.
She isn't disappointed in me. I don't know what I did in my past life to be blessed with a sister like her.

[Fun fact: when i first started writing this.. i have absolutely 0 plans for good old cute Mordred to be the one closest to Jaune (more of that would be more written in the future chapters, its kinda unhealthy to be honest their dependancy.) My plans was for either Artoria or Saphron.. but Mordred kinda felt more natural as i first wrote it.. so here we are... also fun fact, this is a 2.0 version of the story.. i first uploaded this story about a year and couple months ago or somethin close to that... this is the 2.0 version cause when i reread it after a long hiatus, my writing isn't up to par compared to my current level of writing.. and i tried to flesh out more stuff than i did in the original.]
