Elise sighed as she kept walking. Wondering if what she saw was an illusion or a vision. Lucien was just here now, and he became thin air.
Maybe it's because she thought of him a lot. She laughed. Why else would she be thinking about him if not that? There's no way Lucien would be here, that would mean he was dead.
She paused in her tracks... Was he dead?
She had thought Lucien had come to save her from this strange place. But he varnished before she could reach him.
Elise bit on her lower lips. She didn't understand why she could feel him so close. She could even smell his scent again. Elise licked her lips nervously and continued walking, her green eyes searching for the room the maid had mentioned.
As she got closer, soft music drifted from inside the room. Two girls in beautiful dresses stepped out and froze when they saw her. They quickly bowed.
