The dining hall had finally calmed.

Thor sat stiffly, arms crossed, still recovering what little dignity he had left.

Frigga picked up the spoon.

Her gaze flicked briefly to Thor.

Then she tasted the dish.

She paused.

Tasted again.

"…It is rather spicy," she said calmly.

Thor swallowed.

Odin, curious now, leaned forward.

"Let me try."

Thor's eyes widened. "Father—!"

Too late.

Odin took a bite.

Chewed.

And then—

He nodded.

"Hm."

Everyone froze.

"…It is quite good," Odin declared. "Strong flavor. Bold."

Thor stared.

Loki stared harder.

Alexander blinked.

"You like it?" Thor asked weakly.

Odin chuckled. "I do. Though perhaps not suited for… unprepared palates."

Loki snorted.

A Mother's Scolding

Frigga set the spoon down and turned to Thor.

Her voice was gentle.

But firm.

"Thor," she said, "revenge should be clever—or not taken at all."

Thor lowered his head. "Yes, Mother."

"You could have hurt your brothers," she continued softly. "Even by accident."

Thor nodded again. "I did not think it through."

Frigga's expression softened.

She placed a hand on his shoulder.

"But you cared enough to make the meal yourself," she added. "That matters."

Thor looked up, surprised.

"Just," Frigga finished, "next time—ask before adding fire to the pot."

Alexander smiled.

Loki laughed quietly.

Closing

Odin leaned back, amused.

"Well," he said, "if Thor ever tires of battle… he may yet conquer the kitchens of Asgard."

Thor groaned.

And Asgard gained another story worth remembering
