Chapter 4 - Chapter 73 Another Year Has Passed

While disciplining the dim-witted little rabbit, Gu Yuena couldn't help but feel regretful. Her divine wisdom needed to remain in her main body to help numerous ferocious beasts cultivate and comprehend the power of rules; otherwise, it could have enhanced Xiao Wu's intelligence.

As for the Title Douluo lurking in the shadows, Gu Yuena wasn't worried. With her control over aura, even a human demigod wouldn't be able to see through her true identity. Besides, her transformation method was special; this body, apart from her soul, was practically a true human form.

Xiao Wu, however, had already revealed her identity, catching her off guard. But after careful consideration, she understood that since the other party hadn't attacked Xiao Wu, they wouldn't easily attack her either. If she acted like a frightened bird, she would only alert the enemy.

"Don't go to Notting Academy yet. Come back to the dungeon with me. I need to find an adventurer's job."

The Silver Dragon King's power was less than half that of the Dragon God at his peak. She should have waited for the Golden Dragon King to appear before making her move. But after Di Tian found the Wisdom Godhead, she realized that the power of a complete Wisdom Godhead was no weaker than that of a God King, and she was willing to give up hope of reaching the Dragon God level.

Exploring the dungeon was necessary for both herself and the Soul Beast race.

  "Okay."

The lively and fierce Xiao Wu was incredibly obedient in front of Gu Yuena, and followed her back obediently.

The others didn't pay attention. With Xiao Wu by their side, they could turn danger into safety if they encountered any problems in Notting City.

Lin Bai glanced back at Gu Yuena's back out of the corner of his eye, a strong sense of urgency rising in his heart. He knew that the dungeon would cause chaos in the Douluo Continent, but he never expected it to cause chaos to the point that the Silver Dragon King would be born prematurely.

"I need to work harder in my cultivation from now on."

Lin Bai sighed and separated his consciousness to look inside the Mountain God Seal.

  "Buzz?"

Ying Tian sensed Lin Bai's consciousness descending and let out a cry of anticipation for liberation.

"I haven't broken through yet, I was just checking."

Lin Bai's words made Ying Tian hang his head in dejection. The three-eyed demonic ape, bound within the Mountain God Seal, stared longingly at the sky, its pitiful gaze making Lin Bai feel embarrassed. He coughed twice, withdrew his consciousness, and looked at Zhu Zhuqing beside him.

"Zhuqing, I need to focus on breaking through soon, thank you for your help."

  "It's nothing."

Zhu Zhuqing shook her head, her long hair swaying, carrying a fragrant breeze. "Compared to your help, this is nothing. If you need help, I'm always here."

Lin Bai hummed in agreement, not taking Zhu Zhuqing's kindness for granted, but remembering everything she had done.

The two went to the back garden to cultivate. After the others rested, some went to the dungeon to level up, while others went to Notting City to find some fun.

In the dungeon, Gu Yuena teleported to the beginner dungeon.

After checking her talents, Gu Yuena pushed open the bronze door.

  [Entering an SSS-level beginner dungeon...]

Two hours later, Gu Yuena emerged from the bronze gate in a disheveled state. Her long, white dress was torn, revealing her fair, snow-white legs. She coughed lightly and exhaled slowly.

Even in her disheveled state, a smile remained on her lips. She opened her hand, revealing a translucent, light blue crystal in her palm.

"Another fragment of a divine spark of wisdom. With it, my journey to human society hasn't been in vain. The soul beast race can develop sufficient intelligence sooner, and I also have hope of breaking through the limits of the Dragon God's power."

Gu Yuena respected the Dragon God, but deep down, she was unwilling to resurrect him. Resurrecting the Dragon God meant she had to relinquish her own bloodline and wisdom, returning everything to the Dragon God. But all living beings have a will to live, and the Silver Dragon King was no exception.

Moreover, the current situation of the Soul Beast race is still manageable, so there's no need for her to sacrifice herself to summon back the Dragon God.

Gu Yuena put away her divine spark, glanced at her tattered long dress, and gently brushed it with her soft hand. An icy blue light shone, and pure white snowflakes slowly condensed, patching up the holes in the dress and making it look brand new.

After doing this, she left the beginner dungeon, where Xiao Wu was waiting outside.

Lin Bai was unaware of all this, and even less aware of what the SSS-level beginner dungeon represented. Reaching SSS-level talent meant that, according to the dungeon's assessment, one had the potential to fuse with a divine spark and become a god.

In this aspect, even Qian Renxue, with her innate level 20 soul power, couldn't match her talent, while Gu Yuena's talent was incredibly comprehensive. She was the second person to clear the SSS-level beginner dungeon, and possibly the last.

Spring turned to autumn, and nine months passed in the blink of an eye.

At Notting Academy, Lin Bai was fighting with Xiao Wu.

Neither of them used weapons, and there were no other restrictions.

Within these rules, Lin Bai was undoubtedly at a disadvantage, but he could suppress Xiao Wu at full power simply by using his physical strength. No matter how much Xiao Wu used her soul skills and judo abilities, she couldn't resist.

Xiao Wu let out a soft shout, her lithe and powerful legs wrapping around Lin Bai's neck, her waist arching soul skill at full power, but Lin Bai remained unmoved.

"I'm not fighting anymore. Your physical strength is too unfair. It feels almost as strong as Ying Tian's. Fighting back and forth won't hurt you, it's pointless."

Xiao Wu jumped off Lin Bai, rubbing her sore muscles from the exertion, her face full of displeasure.

Lin Bai chuckled, "You were the one who wanted to spar with me, and you blame me for losing? That's outrageous!"

Since Gu Yuena came to Notting Academy, Xiao Wu had been forced to distance herself from Lin Bai, so she naturally didn't know how strong he had become.

She thought that after Gu Yuena's guidance, she should be able to defeat Lin Bai.

Unfortunately, she was still a little short.

  Just a tiny bit.

Not far away, Gu Yuena wore an expression of unsurprise. She didn't tell Xiao Wu anything unnecessary, because despite the inspiration from the Wisdom Godhead, Xiao Wu's intelligence showed no signs of improvement. Worried that Xiao Wu had been deceived, Gu Yuena had even conducted the Wisdom Godhead awakening secretly.

Noticing Gu Yuena's probing gaze, Lin Bai suppressed his smugness. Bullying Xiao Wu wasn't a skill; he adopted a provocative expression and challenged, "Gu Yuena, want to spar?"

  "Spar? Sure."

Gu Yuena wouldn't do anything unnecessary. Her concern for Lin Bai stemmed from what she knew from Xiao Wu: Lin Bai had cleared an SSS-level beginner dungeon, and might even possess a Godhead fragment.

Yes, after causing Gu Yuena's identity to be exposed, Xiao Wu had made another foolish mistake, revealing Lin Bai's secret to Gu Yuena.

Lin Bai realized how much Gu Yuena cared about him. After taking stock, he found that he didn't have many things that the Silver Dragon King would covet—only two things: Yinglong's blood and the Time-Space Godhead.

Even if the Dragon God's half-body discovered his dragon bloodline, he wouldn't care this much. Therefore, there's only one possibility: Gu Yuena knows he possesses a divine spark.

Lin Bai quickly deduced that Xiao Wu had let something slip. Given the Silver Dragon King's intelligence and status, extracting information from Xiao Wu would be easy, and he couldn't stop her.

Looking at Gu Yuena's indifferent expression, Lin Bai felt secretly annoyed. So what if she's the Silver Dragon King? He'd beat her if he wanted; he wasn't afraid at all.
