The once fearsome and massive Death Spike Arachnid was no longer in form. Instead, it was now scattered into football-sized chunks of chitin and organ sludge.
Leon panted slightly as his red horns dissipated and retracted back into his head.
He immediately stepped toward the pillars, hoping to reunite with Gool as quick as possible. But something caught his eye.
He turned and noticed the heart of the spider on the ground. The heart seemed crystallized, and it was still beating within a transparent purplish crystal.
It caught Leon off guard, 'This must be a useful item...' He thought, 'I should keep hold of it for now.' He put the item in the small pockets he still barely had.
He was in dire need of an outfit change.
Leon hurriedly returned to Gool. When he got there, the goblin looked deceased.
Gool had his eyes closed, remaining frozen and blissful.
Leon quickly knelt down beside him and checked his pulse.
