Within the peninsula kingdom of Meniras, Dorian finally stood before the king.
He was inside a massive hall, one fitting for an emperor. The walls were covered in stained-glass windows, the patterns depicting legendary battles.
Enormous marble pillars gave foundation to the room, reaching over a hundred feet (30 meters) up to the ceiling. In front of each pillar was a tall knight clad in golden armor, with a spear by their side.
A bus length in front of Dorian was the beginning of a series of steps leading up to the king's platform, where his throne lay.
The throne was large, the back of the seat resembling the tip of a single golden sword.
Behind Dorian were eleven mages, clearly from the Holy Magistrate of the kingdom. They were dozens of feet away from him, glaring at his back with varying expressions of seething hatred in their eyes.
