Jura Forest
Mizu POV
"Lord Mizu, Even you must realise the consequences of your grandson's action." The village chief, Hiro the leader of Merfolk, reminded him of his grandson's action. "An army wasp is not a creature that can be underestimated."
Army wasp, one of the most dangerous creatures in the Jura forest.
A monster, ranked Hazad class by the humans to the west. Something that on its own could destroy entire town if left unchecked.
"Even if it is not a queen wasp, it doesn't make the any less dangerous. With its incredible speed, senses and deadly poison it could cause a mayhem, if let loose."
'I really shouldn't have allowed him to keep that larvae.'
"I know that." He played the devils advocate, despite agreeing with the village head. "But even you must realise the benefits of potentially raising that Wasp."
He could see Hiro starting to nod his head at the potential benefits for the village.
"I do."
None would reject the possibility of having a creature that could single-handedly destroy towns as a guardian.
As a being that has lived in the Jura forest for centuries, he knew certain bits of information about the creatures that resided in the forest that most wouldn't know.
Contrary to what most believe Army wasps can form a colony without a Queen at times, so if it was able to convince some of its kind then the village could prosper a lot.
A task in theory perfectly achievable, seeing as similar creatures with violent tendencies like Wyverns, Dire wolves, etc, have been tamed at various points in history.
In his centuries long life, he had personally ridden a wyvern during his visit to the Kingdom of Raja.
The village could rely on the wasps for protection and possibly gain the prized nectar of the wasp, which is said to be able to cure nearly all forms of illnesses.
Even in occasional the conflict with the lizard men could be avoided should the was truly be tamed, maybe even the Gozu and Mezu would avoid raiding their village.
Something that the even the village chief understands.
"Make no mistake, I understand the possible benefits of raising that creature as one of our own." The village chief said acknowledging the benefits, yet also acknowledging the risks of it. "But chasing that possibility of benefit could very well lead to our downfall."
A sound assessment, if the wasp does attack then it could cause serious harm to the village and God forbid if attracts it's kin in it's destructive, it could spell the end of Merfolk as a whole…
The strength coveted for protection could as easily become the blade to slaughter them..
"What do you want me to do then?" He sighed at the troublesome situation.
"I assume you can put it down if it ever goes on a rampage?" The village chief finally got to the matter at hand.
He nodded his head, while he could eliminate the creature he wouldn't come out unscathed from the battle. That's considering the fact the wasp would have to be taken down when it's young, should it ever show any violent tendencies
But fortunately for him the village head would also jump in as well as other warriors, if it ever came down to it.
"Just so long as you understand the danger, and aren't blinded by parental love." Hiro muttered, taking his leave. "The creature can stay."

After the whole debacle ended, he headed towards Mika's room.
As soon as he entered the room, he saw a peculiar sight, Mika slowly feeding a piece of Bear meat to the Larvae.
"So did everything go?" Mika didn't turn around to look at me.
"As you already expect."
"And, what am I supposed to expect?" He could see Mika fidgeting slightly, something the larvae picked up as it nudged Mika.
'Well that's an interesting development.' He observed the larvae as it crawled onto Mika's lap.
'Maybe, the insect is tameable.'
He moved closer towards his grandson, and started patting his head, reassuring the child.
"That, I will help you raise and train that creature."
"Thank you." Mika turned towards him with a smile adorning his face.
He sighed at himself, he was truly weak towards Mika. He could never deny him of anything he asked.
"Now don't get some idiotic idea and end up naming it." He sternly warned Mika, who nodded his head understanding the danger of naming such a creature.
If he himself in his prime sought to name the creature, he could have done so with few consequences. But if a young child like Mika were to accidentally do so, he could very well….
Then again, the wasp was still in its infancy, so naming the creature wouldn't have as much of an impact if it were a mature one.
'Something to consider..'
"I won't." Mika fervently nodded his head.
"So then, I suppose you are ready for what's to come."
"Sorry, I don't quite understand." Mika tilted his head, clearly confused by his words."What do you mean by 'what's to come' ?"
He stared at the larvae on top of Mika's lap that would soon grow up into a deadly Army Wasp.
"You are the reason I agreed to help raise this creature. It was you who brought it here, so it's existence will be your responsibility. It's actions from now on will be your responsibility be they good or bad."
He waited for a moment to let Mika understand the situation he has placed himself in, to realise the possible repercussions of his actions.
The understanding of the responsibilities and consequences of one's actions would be a good lesson for the child.
"Actions have consequences. One should only take action when they are prepared to face the consequences, if not they simply shouldn't take any action."
Realisation dawned upon him, his grandson seemed to understand what he am trying say.
"Should that creature take any violent or unnecessary action, it will be your responsibility to put it down."
He didn't expect his grandson to do much against the wasp, but the realisation alone was more than enough.
"I understand." Mika started to pat the Army wasp larvae, which leaned into his touch.
