The miniature Arc Reactor in Tony Stark's chest isn't just a light bulb. During his Jericho missile demonstration trip in Afghanistan, Tony Stark was hit by his own missile, leaving shrapnel in his chest. A simple electromagnet in his chest held the shrapnel in place, preventing it from entering his heart, and the miniature Arc Reactor was the power source for this electromagnet.
Now, the miniature Arc Reactor has been violently removed by Obadiah. The shrapnel, no longer constrained by magnetism, is slowly flowing into Tony Stark's heart with his blood circulation, taking his life.
Tony Stark's lips trembled slightly; the effects of the nerve paralyzing device were slowly fading, but similarly, the pain in his chest was becoming more and more obvious.
Struggling, Tony Stark finally fell from the sofa, trying to lift his head to look at the experimental table just a few meters away. On it lay a miniature Arc Reactor, his first-generation miniature Arc Reactor that he had replaced, made by him in a cave in Afghanistan, and framed by his secretary Pepper Potts.
"Just a little more. Once I solve this problem, Pepper, I'm definitely going to reward you handsomely!"
Tony Stark squirmed on the ground, but he didn't move much for a long time. The short distance to the experimental table was like an uncrossable chasm, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get closer.
"This time it's really a bit troublesome."
Lying on the ground, his face pressed hard against the floor, Tony Stark no longer had the strength to move.
Staring blankly at the floor of his laboratory, Tony Stark's peripheral vision suddenly caught a card floating down, lightly landing in front of his eyes.
"This is the card that strange guy slipped in. Does he know what happened here?"
Tony Stark had no choice but to place his hope on that strange man who looked like both an alien and a demon from hell.
"How do I use this card? Do I need to chant a spell?" At this point, Tony Stark suddenly wasn't so anxious, even starting to let his mind wander.
"You don't need to chant a spell. Just seeing this card and thinking of me will do."
A strange voice suddenly sounded in Tony Stark's ear.
"Who is it?" Tony Stark propped up his head, wanting to turn and see who was speaking, but he simply didn't have the strength to twist his clever brain.
"The great genius Tony Stark is in such a sorry state. It's a pity I didn't bring a camera, otherwise I would definitely record this scene."
A furry paw appeared in front of Tony Stark; it was a stray cat that had gotten in from somewhere.
"The community staff should work overtime; they actually let a stray cat in."
The cat spoke again: "It seems, Stark, you can still hold on for a while, having the strength to care about the community staff's work. They will surely thank you."
"Enough with the chatter. If you drag this out any longer, you'll just be talking to yourself, Master Druid."
Tony Stark's voice grew weaker and weaker.
"You look a bit dead. Do you need this?"
The cat handed over the old miniature Arc Reactor, encased in a glass box.
"You truly are the cutest cat in the whole World. Tomorrow, I'll have Stark Industries establish a foundation dedicated to helping stray cats."
"That's very kind of you."
The cat rolled its eyes, picked up the glass box with its two paws, and slammed it onto the floor.
"How do you put this thing in your chest? It doesn't look quite like a light bulb. If I just screw it in, what about these two wires?"
The cat's face showed a puzzled expression.
"You're still illiterate. Don't Druids need to learn some physics? See that hole in my chest? First insert the wires into the corresponding positions, then install the reactor. The blue wire goes into the bottom port, and the other one goes into the top. You probably can't see red, right?"
Although Tony Stark's strength was diminishing, he still patiently explained to the cat, even considering that the cat couldn't distinguish red, so he specifically mentioned the blue wire first, then the red one.
"You're so thoughtful, but I can see this red wire."
The cat picked up the two wires and then peered into the large hole in Tony Stark's chest.
"Bear with it, I'm going in. It might hurt a bit!"
"Such a terrible line," Tony Stark grumbled.
"Hiss~!"
A sudden sharp pain in his chest made Tony Stark involuntarily gasp for air.
"Light bulb installed!"
The cat stood up and patted Tony Stark's face with its paw, "Wake up."
"You're amazing, little cat!"
Tony Stark finally felt alive again. The electromagnet in his chest was working, and the metal shrapnel flowing towards his heart was once again attracted and held in place.
"If you want to thank me, you can give me some Stark Industries shares after you've dealt with this matter. I think you know who I am."
"Very insightful. So, should I call you an alien, Mr. Devil, or Master Druid, or are you just a cat?"
If this were an animated World, black lines would surely appear on the cat's forehead.
"I think I'm still a normal human, just with some special abilities. This isn't anything rare. Also, this cat isn't my body; I'm just borrowing it temporarily."
"I understand, Master Druid." Tony Stark still referred to the cat possessed by Lionel as Druid.
The card Lionel gave Tony Stark wasn't a charm from some novel, but a medium he created using the 'Divine Summoning' Entry. It could be a card, glasses, or even a ring; any tangible object could serve as a medium. Through this card, Lionel could establish a contract with the cardholder, communicate with them without spatial restrictions, and obtain various information about the holder.
Thus, upon sensing that Tony Stark was about to lose his life, Lionel used the 'Dominance' authority to control a nearby stray cat and came before Tony Stark, ensuring that this wealthy scoundrel wouldn't lose his valuable life.
Although this World was the Marvel Universe, it was different from the movie Universe Lionel remembered. Spider-Man had become the second generation Spider-Man instead of the expected Tom Holland, so it wasn't impossible for Tony Stark to die unexpectedly.
After glancing at Tony Stark on the ground a few more times, and feeling that nothing would go wrong, Lionel released his control over the stray cat.
In Tony Stark's eyes, the intelligent spirituality that had filled the cat's eyes before him vanished. It sniffed at him, lying on the ground, then walked away as if no one else was there.
"It turned into a normal stray cat. Was that a method of animal control just now?" Tony Stark habitually pondered.
After lying on the ground for an unknown amount of time, Tony Stark felt the numbness and pain in his body significantly decrease. So, he managed to prop himself up and stand.
The first thing he would do after regaining his mobility was to restore the Villa's power system and reactivate Jarvis.
"Sir, it's a pleasure to communicate with you again. While I was offline, you received multiple calls from Miss Pepper Potts. She has encountered some trouble."
