Alex stood at the center of the chamber, facing the three platforms in silence.

The moment the permission was issued, the black battlesuit reacted.
Its rigid metallic surface suddenly lost its solid structure. The armor plates dissolved into a flowing metallic liquid that began spreading rapidly across Alex's arm.
Within a second the liquid metal climbed up his shoulder and neck like living mercury.
Alex remained perfectly still as the suit engulfed him.
The strange liquid flowed across his entire body, covering every inch of skin. It wrapped around his torso, legs, and head before rapidly condensing into solid armor once again.
In less than three seconds, Alex was completely encased inside the black battlesuit.
