Esme's POV
I had come to a very conclusive condition.
Being a Blood-Hound was just like being the ruler of a kingdom, but not knowing that you are so when someone suddenly needs your help, you're torn by guilt and confusion on why they do.
A sigh left my lips for the seventh time since I fell on the bed. Ac'era's words still rang in my head but an even sharper word came to mind regularly.
'I said you should refuse him because it will get too dangerous for you. Don't act like I am trying to change your mind.'
Those sharp words came again. "It is like I have a voice in my head." I whined dramatically.
Sanya clicked her tongue and smiled, forcing myself off the bed. It would've been easier to make a decision if Sanya told me exactly what she thought I should do.
Ac'era's problem might not be my business if I avoid the kingdoms and keep everyone I care about close, but that was easier said than done.
