Duke Desmond had left the young warrior to sit up against a wall for his injured neck's sake. If he had truly cared, he could've healed him.
The young man had refused to answer his questions because of his actions so he didn't hesitate to apologise. The man had already caught him in a loop of desire to know the truth.
The young man craned his neck to the side, and answered.
"After your colleague's drastic mistake, our youngest Prince hibernates frequently to restore his mana. He was released recently by the Fourth and it required a lot of mana. That Rogue King had entered into the stomach of the Fourth Prince and stolen part of that mana to break his seal."
Silence.
Adding the greatest mistake of the Disciples, along with a pity story for the youngest Prince was enough to keep us quiet.
I knew about hibernation for regaining mana. But that happened in a place swirling with mana. A place that naturally drew mana to itself.
