Lumiere's POV
A threat had awakened in the Red Desert— home to the rogues. The three infamous rogue packs had united as one. That was terrible news.
I couldn't guess the reason for this, but I definitely knew I wouldn't want it to be the resurrection of their past Alpha. It had taken a lot from the previous Duke of Fear to seal him inside his cave.
That old man might shed tears if he found out that the rogue Alpha returned to the world less than ten years afterwards. His son would have to inherit that responsibility too.
A knock on my door, and before I could respond, it flung open. I hadn't prepared myself for his presence. He walked in humming, dropped the large box he held, and then spun around back outside.
"Ah, yes." He peeped back into the room. "Janeya said I should let you know that she received the package and has delivered it."
I replied with a nod. It wasn't enough for him, as he stood there, crossed arms and leaning on my door. He wanted to know more.
