Zaril'n was quiet, this man before him looked gentle, there was a feeling of familiarity like a king, but everything about him gave a feeling of great authority.
Looking at the man Ehzia found the figure kind, but there was something that struck uneasiness within him.
" My name is Ehzia Myris," Ehzia answered finally.
" Oh Ehzia is it, oh how delightful," said the figure. As he repeated the name he did so as if he was tasting it. The music continued, but between Ehzia and the figure there was silence.
" Qu'an a moment if you will," the man said looking over his shoulder.
Another man emerged from the crowd. He had tan coloured skin, his hair was an amber color that rested on his shoulders. He was bare feet- wait they all were bare feet. The man too wore gracious attire.
" Yes sir," he answer standing close.
"Why does he sound familiar?" Ehzia asked himself.
" Do you know of this human? Ehzia he is,"
They both made eye contact and the amber haired man confirmed it. The first man giggled.
" Ahh, so this is the human you made an empty worded deal with millennials ago. How interesting. No seal was on that deal, but somehow you obeyed, Qu'an. I wonder why?" the man said resting his head on his palm.
" You deceived this great blessed and yet you didn't attack earth when the gates open, and then you also failed to get his soul. This Ehzia intriguing huh?"
Qu'an did not responded simply adverting his gaze, what sense would speaking do?
" Number one!" the man called nicely. From the crowd a woman with attentive curve swayed modestly. A beautiful violet dress rested upon her.
Ehzia was shocked.
" Marianna?" Ehzia uttered immediately seeing the woman. It had been centuries, but he still knew his wife. But right now she looked so empty. Her eyes were a void purple, no pupil, as if she wasn't even seeing.
" Marianna!" he shouted rushing to her gripping her arms. " Speak to me Marianna!"
" You heard the man Marianna, speak," said the gentle voice next to Marianna's ear. He had magically appeared next to her with a hand on her waist. Ehzia gritted his teeth with silent fury and slapped the man's hand away, everyone held their breath, but surprisingly the man did nothing.
" What do you want?" asked Marianna her voice empty.
" Oh Marianna," Ehzia cried pulling her into a hug.
" why did you do this to her, why?"
"It's a long story, it's not like we brought her to hell, she appeared here, that's by her own deeds. What a crying, begging thing she was, but such story can wait. Now the reward,"
A reward they wondered. The gentle figure turned to Zaril'n who was silent the entire time, but now his chest was hurting. The man thanked Zaril'n for guiding Ehzia all the way to the second floor and that it was a great help.
" Now here he shall stay,"
" I don't want your thank you," said Zaril'n before he could stop the words. "I followed Ehzia here because I was helping, and it made me happy seeing him happy. He loved his wife so much, but look at him now crying, I didn't want to see that! What reward could I possibly get!?" Zaril'n couldn't understand, but he felt a pang within and the situation made him furious. He knew better than to release his tongue with such words, but right now he was hating this.
The music abruptly stopped playing.
" Because of this I can grant you any wish you desire,"
" I'm getting a reward because the person I care about is now crying? I wanted him to be happy and now he's not. How can I get a reward using that! You must be crazy,"
Everyone in the area gasped. They looked at the demon before them, they could easily tell he was from the lowest floor, but how could he use such a sharp tongue on those who where much higher
" I see you've lost touch with reality," the gentle man said his words now carrying weight. " kill him," an order followed as the figure turned to Ehzia.
" No!" Ehzia was immediately subdued, by his wife and two others.
Zaril'n was also stunned as a tall man appeared in front of him and lifted him by the throat. Zaril'n was caught off guard and tried struggling, but he couldn't.
" The meeting is ready!" A cheerful voice announced fast. " Huh? Zaril'n? What are you doing here, oh right Dalvvar told me, what happened? Why are you getting choked? Doesn't that hurt?"
" Hey let him go,"
" I was ordered to kill him,"
" By who? That's ridiculous,"
" Byris'l," the man choking Zaril'n said. He had loosen his grip, but only so Zaril'n could catch a tiny bit of air.
" Byris'l get your man to get off!"
" But why? The little maggot was passing it's place. I had to fix that,"
" I'm not going to repeat myself," Sadden said seriously.
Byris'l said nothing, he really did want the little demon dead. Sadden gritted his teeth moving forward when he was suddenly called.
" Sadden stop, and Byris'l command your man down," a voice spoke from somewhere.
Byris'l rolled his eyes and waved a hand dismissively. Zaril'n body dropped to the ground, he was too weak to get up as he gasped for air.
" You monster!" barked Ehzia.
" Funny coming from a man in hell,"
Sadden moved to Zaril'n helping him up. His throat was hurting, but when he saw who was helping him he was stunned, this figure looked like Sadden, but why did he look so human?
" Sadden?" Zaril'n managed to say, but coughed right after.
" Yeah, but stay quiet for now,"
" Enough of this, I still need to grant this demon's wish for bringing the human here," Byris'l interjected. " So speak up demon,"
A long time ago when the demons first me Marianna she was crying, they listen to her story and hearing a story from Qu'an they highest floors of hell wanted Ehzia for their own. They made it known throughout hell that anyone who could bring Ehzia would be granted a wish of their desire.
It was a gleeful uproar when the other demons heard and they all were on the lookout for a human that might get in hell, but as time passed they never found the right human. The other humans appeared then changed into their new forms, which was a demon. As centuries passed everyone soon forgot of the quest.
" I don't want anything like this," retorted Zaril'n.
" But Zaril'n?" said Sadden as he knew the little demon's desire. But nothing was said.
" Sorry Mister," Zaril'n said his eyes low.
" Zaril'n look at me," said Ehzia finally and Zaril'n took a second before looking up.
" You helped me find the one I wanted most and I think you deserve your wish," said Ehzia gently.
" But look at your wife Ehzia,"
Ehzia jolted. " It's fine, she's still mine and I have her now. Now make your wish Zaril'n, this way I know it was worth it,"
Zaril'n eyes were running tears.
" What's your wish?" A voice spoke, but it wasn't Byris'l or the others. Everyone in the room was bowing low with their forehead and knees on the floor as if commanded, even Sadden except he was standing. Zaril'n looked up to meet a gaze so sharp it could kill.
" Make your wish," repeated the voice.
" I wish to be human and live on earth,"
Zaril'n finally muttered looking at Ehzia.
" that sounds like two wishes, but I'm feeling generous so then shall it be,"
