"Anything? That's a great promise, Chairman. I wonder if you would be able to keep it."
Kaiden asked with a smile on his face, and the chairman's eyes hardened. But he ultimately nodded, feeling a little happy that Kaiden had at least one weakness-his desire.
"I promise you-anything you desire."
Kaiden pretended to think over the situation, but in reality, he already had his answer. He had it ready since the first time he had walked into this office.
"I cannot offer you all of me, but I can offer you a partnership. I will be establishing a guild soon, so I would need you to look the other way when it comes time to 'rough-handle' some things."
This was Kaiden's way of warning the chairman not to get on his bad side and accidentally cause a mess. The chairman understood this and quickly nodded.
"I understand. I will make sure to inform everyone that they need to keep out of your way and not cause you trouble. Is there anything else-"
