The maid's sharp voice reached Nero's ear, and he growled to remind her that he was still here. It caused the maid to flinch, but she neither apologized nor looked like she had made a mistake.
If anything, she looked even more sure of herself and held her head up.
The other maids were doing something similar as well. They ignored Nero and Shuu most of the time and only did what was asked of them when they were directly asked to.
Nero really wanted to teach them a lesson, but he had a feeling that Shuu would not like violence. And that was what kept him grounded.
Of course, the maids took this the wrong way and thought that Nero and Shuu were subdued because Prince Kaiden had asked them to keep a low profile.
That made the mistreatment even worse.
