Part 2
The war between the Marines and the two Yonko continued like this.
Everyone who witnessed the battle understood one thing: the Marines were not defeating the Yonko — they were brutally beating them without mercy.
Kaido was in terrible condition. He looked completely battered: his body was covered in countless wounds, his face swollen and bruised. Neither Garp nor Sengoku held back their punches. They struck him with everything they had. Unlike the old men seen during the Marineford War, they were still in their prime. Acting perfectly as a team, they gave Kaido no chance to counterattack.
If Kaido did not possess a Mythical Zoan: Dragon, and instead had an ordinary Zoan or Paramecia, he would have already lost — or even died from his injuries.
On the other side, Big Mom was slightly luckier than Kaido. Akainu and Kizaru were injured, but even that was not enough to turn the tide in her favor. Her right arm, from shoulder to hand, was covered in horrific lava burns. On her stomach was a deep footprint, as if someone had kicked her with overwhelming force. Across her back stretched a massive wound left by a blade of light. Akainu and Kizaru gave her no room to breathe, attacking relentlessly — especially Akainu.
As for Aokiji's battle, his enemies were truly unlucky.
From the very beginning, Aokiji did not hold back against Katakuri, Cracker, King, and Queen. Earlier, Kaido had slaughtered all the Marines stationed at the base — among them were several people Aokiji personally knew. That became the reason why he showed no mercy.
Ice Spears, Ice Bullets, Ice Time Capsules, and countless other techniques at minus-zero temperatures rained down without pause. In less than two hours, Cracker and Queen were frozen solid like statues. If they survived after that, it would be nothing short of a miracle.
Katakuri and King were slightly more fortunate. If Katakuri did not possess his powerful Observation Haki that allowed him to see the future, along with his awakened Devil Fruit, or if King did not have his flames that protected him from freezing, they would have ended up like the others long ago. Even so, it did not save them — they continued to suffer severe injuries.
Seeing their subordinates losing, Kaido and Big Mom tried to intervene.
In response, they were met with Akainu's "Hellhound" and Garp's "Galaxy Impact", suffering even more devastating injuries and realizing that their own situation was far from good.
As for the battle between the soldiers, despite heavy losses, the Marines began pushing the pirates back through coordinated attacks. Momonga and Onigumo supported them, and slowly but surely, the Marines gained the upper hand.
Pirates and underworld figures who had been watching from afar — and who had planned to act after the battle — began to panic. Some even felt fear. The sheer power of the Marines was overwhelming. Even the combined might of two Yonko had failed to defeat them.
Then—
The battlefield suddenly shook. A massive earthquake erupted, and an overwhelming wave of Conqueror's Haki froze everyone in place.
All eyes turned toward the source.
From the distance appeared a colossal ship shaped like a whale. Standing upon it was a gigantic man with a white mustache, holding a weapon shaped like a naginata.
"Gurarararara! Looks like I'm late to the party. It's been a while, Sengoku."
Everyone's eyes widened.
It was Whitebeard — the strongest man in the world, one of the Yonko.
Behind him stood his commanders: Marco the Phoenix and the rest of his crew.
Whitebeard's powerful voice echoed across the battlefield:
"I think it's time to end this war. But if you want to keep fighting… we'll fight too."
Shock spread across both sides.
The Marines all turned their gaze toward Sengoku, waiting for his order.
