It was similar to the lock Uriel had undone as they were lured towards Lucianna.

Back then, he remembered that the lock had been a concentrated and folded mass of laws and primordial energy; unstable and chaotic, standing in an endless void that should've collapsed into a zone of void flames.

But it hadn't.

It hadn't because the spire had made the fabric of space so stable that even the absence of laws couldn't budge it. It was this discovery that led Uriel to realize the Spire was alive.

But here…

The laws were being broken down into small units and fragmented forms of themselves that were unstable and imperfect, fused into masses of impure and unstable primordial energy.

The only thing holding everything together, ironically, was space itself and the World Will, the will of order infused across it.

But therein lay the issue.
