While Naruto was waiting in the room with Tobirama, Fugaku and Mikoto appeared with Kabuto.
"Lord Hokage, we've captured the traitor Kabuto Yakushi."
Fugaku kept his voice emotionless so as not to alert Tobirama, who had been reincarnated using the Impure Reincarnation Jutsu.
Kabuto was unconscious as he was placed on the ground, but Fugaku quickly pressed his Chakra Pathway and awakened him from Genjutsu.
As soon as he woke up, Kabuto didn't panic. He silently stood up and stared at Naruto. Soon, a smile formed on his face.
"I would've never imagined I would see you in that position, Naruto-kun. Congratulations!"
If it were Naruto from the current timeline, or without the knowledge of Kabuto's true origin, he would've been pissed by that smile.
But understanding Kabuto's history from those memories, except for minor parts, he didn't find that smile offensive.
Naruto thought for a moment and looked at Fugaku.
"Fugaku, are you going to stay or leave? There might be some discussion about Itachi and Sasuke."
Hearing that, Fugaku immediately looked at Tobirama.
"Don't worry, he figured it out on his own. It turned out sensing ocular power is one of his traits."
Naruto waved his hand, telling Fugaku not to worry about Tobirama's situation.
"Humph!"
Tobirama snorted as he curiously glanced at Kabuto. He didn't understand why Naruto asked him to stay here.
He knew Naruto's Sensory capabilities were massive, and he could sense everyone's position in the village, but he didn't find anything special about this person.
"Lord Hokage, I shall take my leave."
Mikoto lowered her head and left the room, leaving the room with only Naruto, Tobirama, Kabuto and Fugaku.
Naruto looked at Kabuto and asked.
"Kabuto-san, are you happy?"
Kabuto paused, startled by this question. But unlike others, he saw a genuine curiosity in Naruto's eyes.
"I don't understand. Why do you assume I'm happy?"
Seeing this look, Naruto nodded.
"So, you are still lost."
Kabuto's eyebrows twitched. He gritted his teeth as if he were looking at his enemy. He couldn't understand why Naruto would know him so well.
Naruto rummaged through the table until he found a scroll.
He opened the scroll and asked.
"I earned three hundred and forty-five million ryo. I got it within a week of becoming a Hokage. What do you think?"
This number left Tobirama and Fugaku twitching their lips. They couldn't understand how Naruto embezzled so much money.
Why would he need it, and why would he do it?
Kabuto looked at him for a moment and asked.
"Naruto-kun, you don't look like someone who would do this, right?"
Naruto shook his head.
"I will do it. You see, if I don't do this, I will pour more of my anger on the Third Hokage, ruining his reputation to the point where the entire Konoha will feel ashamed of having such a Hokage."
His words almost made Tobirama leak his chakra, but Naruto continued.
"Of course, in the process, not a single person from Konoha will be harmed. Isn't that amazing? I didn't harm anyone, but I also managed to release my anger."
Kabuto looked confused and said.
"Then, what does this have anything to do with the money?"
Naruto simply stated.
"Konoha was recently attacked. It has suffered a lot of damage, so I asked the Daimyo for five hundred million ryo."
"Of course, this is not our annual budget, but something that I should use to repair the village."
"Of course, this money goes directly into my pocket. The money to repair the village comes from the Elders and the Third Hokage."
"They are dead, but they also have a lot of property in their names. Of course, that property should be inherited by their people."
"Unfortunately, Konoha just suffered a great disaster, and there might be a war coming, so as the Elders and Hokage, they should support the village, shouldn't they?"
Fugaku's lips twitched.
So, it was this revenge.
Naruto never received his inheritance. He thought Naruto would forget about it, but it turned out he had never forgotten it.
Or rather, the knowledge of his future allowed Naruto to understand the dynamics of the village better.
He wasn't the original Naruto who learned to forgive others. He could befriend anyone, but he would also take his revenge.
Tobirama wanted to say this wasn't how a Hokage should be, but considering what his own disciple did, he couldn't bring himself to say anything.
Naruto was right. As a Hokage and the Elders, they should support the village.
But the problem was that the inheritance from them should all go to their children. That was normal procedure.
Unfortunately, Naruto was not going to let that happen. The daimyo was under his control. He could just say Konoha didn't have money.
They not only had to repair the village but also prepare for war. So, naturally, as a Hokage, he could only use their money for the village.
Kabuto didn't say anything. He didn't care what Naruto would do with their money. He even wished Naruto would bankrupt the Third Hokage and the Elders completely.
But he also understood Naruto was not that kind of person. If he was, just as he said, he would do everything to ruin the Third Hokage's reputation.
That would be the worst thing for the Third Hokage.
Not only could this cause his reputation to fall, but it would also ruin the Sarutobi Family's reputation.
So, Kabuto just stayed silent on this matter.
"But you see, there is another elder, the previous Hokage Assistant and now a traitor of the village."
His words made Kabuto clench his fist.
"Since he is a traitor, the village has confiscated all of his properties, including but not limited to the Shimura Family."
"Of course, that family barely has anyone. So, most of these properties still belong to Danzo."
"And I was thinking. How about we expand the Konoha Orphanage? Using all of this money to build a better orphanage?"
"What do you think, Kabuto?"
