Chapter 1 - chepter one

Chapter One – The Beginning

The story begins in Istanbul, a city where history, beauty, and secrets live side by side. At the heart of the city stood a grand palace, a place of honor and prestige, home to a well-known family.

The palace belonged to Orhan, his wife Suleyqa, and their only daughter—İpek.

Orhan was a man of wealth, power, and reputation. He was respected throughout the city, admired for his success and influence. Yet behind the palace walls, he was simply a loving father whose heart revolved around his young daughter. İpek was a seven-year-old girl, innocent and full of life, her bright eyes reflecting a world untouched by pain.

That day was İpek's birthday.

The palace overflowed with joy, laughter, and hope. Elegant decorations filled every corner, soft music echoed through the halls, and distinguished guests were welcomed with warmth and grace. Dressed beautifully, İpek ran among the guests, laughing freely—unaware that this would be the last truly happy day of her childhood.

Among the guests was Ahmed, Orhan's closest friend and trusted business partner. Ahmed was a devoted father of two children, and his son was named Cihan.

As the celebration continued, Orhan and Ahmed made a promise about the future—a bond meant to unite their families forever. They agreed that when the time came, İpek and Cihan would be brought together, strengthening their friendship into something deeper.

But while happiness filled the palace, darkness was quietly awakening elsewhere.

On the other side of the city, the gates of a large prison opened. A man stepped out—his dark eyes heavy with bitterness, his face marked by years behind bars. There was something unsettling about him, something hidden. His name was Cakif.

When the celebration came to an end, Ahmed suddenly announced that he was moving his business to Canada, and that same night he would be leaving the country. Orhan and his family accompanied Ahmed and his loved ones to the airport, where emotional goodbyes were exchanged.

On their way back to the palace, driving along a long, quiet road, Orhan, Suleyqa, and İpek were surrounded by laughter and warmth. Orhan drove his luxury car, while İpek sat in the back seat, her laughter filling the air.

Then, in a single moment, everything changed.

A large truck appeared suddenly. The driver could not be seen clearly—only red gloves gripping the wheel and eyes that looked fully aware of what was about to happen.

The crash was violent and merciless.

Minutes later, an ambulance arrived—but it was too late.

Orhan and Suleyqa were dead.

İpek survived—critically injured, suspended between life and death.

Fourteen Years Later

A young woman lies asleep in a quiet room, her body tense, her breath uneven.

She is dreaming.

Fragments of twisted metal. Screams. Darkness.

She wakes in silence.

She is İpek.

Now grown into a remarkably beautiful young woman, she has lived for fourteen years haunted by a dream she does not understand. She remembers the pain—but not the truth. The accident remains a mystery locked deep within her mind.

The palace that once belonged to her father is still standing—but it no longer belongs to her.

It is now owned by Cakif—the man who once walked out of prison, the older brother of Orhan, and İpek's uncle.

Unaware of her true identity, İpek now lives as one of the palace staff, working in the very home that was once hers.

Cakif lives there with his family:

his eldest son Yusuf,

his younger son Kaan,

his daughter Yasmin,

and his wife Casiisa.

Cakif appears kind and protective toward İpek. Yusuf, his eldest son, has been in love with İpek since their youth. But not everyone in the palace shares that kindness—Casiisa and the other children treat İpek with coldness and resentment.

Far away, in Canada, a young man named Cihan has never stopped searching for the girl promised to his future.

He is still looking for İpek.

And the truth is closer than anyone realizes.
