Jimmy entered the dormitory. He was anxious and withdrawn. But the hall of dorm 3 was silent. Too silent. Jimmy hesitated and stopped walking. He had expected girls to shriek. Jimmy Saito stood at the entrance, waiting. Jimmy froze in place, backpack hanging on his shoulders. The soft pulse of magic seeped through the walls. The air smelled of flowers and something feminine. Jimmy felt out of place.

Selena smiled warmly. "You looked really nervous earlier. Are you okay?"

They packed up their things, which included cloth blankets, a pillow, and, for Jimmy, some plushies. One of his plushies was an owl monster called Owlet. After they finished packing, they headed to the cafeteria for Dinner. On the way, Jimmy thought about waiting for his best friend Adam, who was also shy and sensitive. However, Adam wasn't coming until tomorrow.

Jimmy sat quietly, eating dinner. Some girls watched him dreamily; others looked confused. Selena and Sharika joined him.

The night settled in over Ashfall city. the moonights spill trow the windows of dormitory building 3. The light was on rooms floor. The rest of the girls in doorm hade return to their room to sleep. Laughter became quiet when they returned to their rooms, and they became whispers.
Inside room 307, Jimmy Saito sat on the edge of the bed, huging hes owlet plush and stiff. Selena sat on her desk pretending to read but secretly glanced at Jimmy every few seconds. Sharika was lying in bed wayyd awak looking at sealing like it was the most normal thing in the world.

eventually the lamps dimmed. The room grew quiet. jimmy layed on the bed, slowly listening to the rhythm of the breath around him. For the first time in a while, he didn't feel alone.
