'This guy is dangerous…'
Davin felt his heart beat loudly in his chest as he stared at the mysterious stranger in front of him.
'Can I win? I'm not sure…'
He was one of the weaker members of the Sunlit Order, and although he had an affinity for two Arts, he never developed Chaos Art since it was forbidden.
That left only Curse Art for him to work with.
'But Curse Art isn't the best for sudden confrontations like this. It's best utilized with sufficient time and preparation, but I doubt this person will give me that opportunity.' He clenched his teeth and felt an urge to retreat.
But how could he?
Doing so would jeopardize his allies.
That was akin to betrayal.
'I just need to stall for time. Once Sir Logan returns to the Manor and notices I haven't made it back, he'll come searching for me. I could try reaching out to him or anyone else now, but doing so will only reveal our communication channel to this person, which I can't afford to make happen!'
