(For Readers Who Want Extra Context — Contains Light Spoilers)

1. The System:

A mysterious framework gifted to Mary Jane by the Reaper. It assigns missions, tracks progress, ranks her growth, and grants access to sacred tools such as the Jewels of the Spirit. The System rewards victories against demons but punishes failure by lowering her rank.

2. Levels of Possession (The Redeemable Scale)

Represents how deeply humans have been corrupted. Determines whether they can be redeemed or must be destroyed.

Level 1 – Fractured Souls

Minor corruption (vanity, selfishness, petty lies). Confused, still yearning for redemption. Easily redeemable.

Level 2 – Bound Souls

Marked by betrayal, abuse of influence, or manipulation. Resistant but salvageable with time and guidance.

Level 3 – Consumed Souls

Humans who've willingly traded pieces of their soul for lust, fame, or false power. Redemption is possible, but dangerous.

Note: Only Levels 1–3 are redeemable and can interact with the Hospital's programs.

3. The Damned (Irredeemable)

Beyond Level 3, corruption is irreversible. These beings must be destroyed or cast back to Hell.

Level 4 – Hollowed: Souls erased; only demonic essence remains.

Level 5 – Legion: Humans hosting multiple demons.

Level 6 – Revenants: Dead humans reanimated through possession.

Level 7 – Abyssal Lords: Generals of the Corrupter, each commanding a faction of Hell's influence on Earth.

4. Hospital Rankings (Redeemable Humans)

Redeemed humans are rehabilitated within the Reaper's Hospital and ranked according to stability, resistance to possession, and loyalty to the mission.

Rank E (Patients): Newly redeemed; fragile and unstable. Require close supervision.

Rank D (Attendants): Stabilized enough to assist in minor duties; resist basic possession.

Rank C (Orderlies): Disciplined and balanced; capable of joining supervised missions.

Rank B (Residents): Trusted, resilient; may accompany Mary Jane on hunts.

Rank A (Physicians): Elite leaders of rehabilitation and strategists.

Rank S (Sanctified): Rare; bear direct fragments of the System's power. Often chosen as lieutenants or guardians.

5. Hunter Progression (Mary Jane & Others)

Hunters grow by redeeming souls, defeating demons, and surviving moral trials.

Rank F → Rank SSS progression.

Failure to slay or redeem a demon causes demotion by one rank.

Abilities unlocked include: resistance to corruption, spiritual resonance, access to stronger Jewels, and eventually, the right to face the Corrupter himself.

(Spoiler Potential: her eventual clash with the Corrupter is implied.)

6. Jewels of the Spirit (Hunter's Tools)

Forged from the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23), these jewels embody divine virtues. They are not weapons themselves but channel power into whatever weapon the Hunter wields.

Love (Ruby): Foundation of all virtues. Always accessible; empowers every strike.

Joy (Topaz): Rekindles hope; strengthens morale and weakens despair-born demons.

Peace (Emerald): Clears the mind under pressure; shields against mental corruption.

Patience (Sapphire): Extends stamina during long battles; fortifies endurance.

Kindness (Opal): Softens hardened hearts; enables non-lethal blows for redemption.

Goodness (Amethyst): Purifies corrupted spaces; weakens demonic influence.

Faithfulness (Diamond): Resonates with loyalty; shields Hunters from betrayal or doubt.

Gentleness (Pearl): Creates protective wards; stabilizes redeemable humans.

Self-Control (Onyx): The rarest jewel. Seals redemption, closes gateways, locks temptations.

System Rule: Love is universal, but the other jewels only manifest if the Hunter's heart aligns with that virtue at the moment.

7. The Corrupter

The unseen hand behind the apocalypse, spreading sin and despair to fuel his armies. Each Abyssal Lord serves under him, but his true form remains hidden.
